I like the concept of developing different characters apart and reuniting them later. You can build two worlds at once.

When you have two casts/groups like this it expands the story. They definitely gave you something big last week and then leveled you out this week. That's how addiction works. When you try to beat last weeks high you OD.

The problem with TWD is that the pacing is slow as fuck. it's too much like "a day in the life." showing characters doing nothing. You can do a story of ups and downs but there needs to be substance there.

This week had a little substance but was mostly an introduction to a new group.

Thought the episode was good

I see the set-up

The hilltop, The kingdom and now Alexandria all under Negan's thumb. So all 3 would have to come together to take him out

How is he in the comics? Fill me in, haven't read them

smh just go read the shit, it aint hard to find... btw IDK what he talkin about with the "you wont like him if he's like the comics" thing. King Zeke is one of the more likable characters in the whole shit.

anyway back on topic, its like mutha fuckas are allergic to reading. thats why I just SMH when dudes on here or anywhere for that matter try to speak on the books when its painfully obvious they aint read none of that shit. not trying to just jump on you but damn the shit is there on youtube. I know I know, you dont have time right? u got the time to watch the show then you have time to read the books. just sayin...

my problem with constantly splitting the groups is that they keep doing it and in the most contrived ways. its annoying after a while. I know I know, they dont wanna waste great actors on standing around in the background while Rick does some gangster shit and they just look cool firing guns. I get it but thats kinda what the story is and trying to make it something else is annoying. They dont have to split the group to tell the story thats just lazy writing IMO.

It looks like Darryl is taking carl's and dwight's route in the comic's negan war...

Interesting

not interesting at all. fuck Daryl. Carl should and I think will have a good portion of his comic story. Its quite possibly my favorite of all. Negan mind fucks that little kid and their interactions are gold. Its hilarious.

dude is a fraud and turns bitch when shit gets real

he is just taking advantage of those people who just needed someone to call a leader

Dude pretty much admitted this already when he was talking to Carol by herself

I dont think what he admitted makes him a bitch tho. He will get down with the best of them, I dont know where he gets this "he's a bitch" shit.

How is it lazy when splitting the groups create MORE WORK? Its easy to have people standing around doing nothing in the scene.

The problem is the B Group doesn't have a motivation other than survival. They need to inject some urgency into that storyline.

splitting them up is not more work, its contrived bullshit. what I mean by lazy is that its not easy to tell a story with actors standing in the back, that would take great writing to have them involved but not the focus instead they get lazy and come up with contrived storylines to split them up every year.

The show has more anyway . According to you guys logic Negan is better because he drops f bombs in the book*shrugs*

Like thats supposed to make something automatically better. And the show doesnt even have more, there are 150+ issues of the comic. How the fuck does the show have more? If you mean cluttered, illogical, contrived bullshit then yeah the show has tons more lol

Btw the show version will have the f bombs available on bluray and nobody has said comic Negan was better because he drops f bombs you dork. Hell I havent even seen anyone say comic negan was better period. He's only been in one fucking episode so how the fuck can anybody draw a conclusion from that already?

Please brother, tell us what would fit in a FUCKING ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE WORLD.

a tiger that was the lone survivor in a fucking zoo, along with the zookeeper doesnt fit in this show?

LAWD

i swear some of ya'll choose the silliest shit to nitpick over.

So its ok for an ex sheriff, a battered wife, a lawyer who somehow has learned the art of a ninja sword or some shit are ok, but a zookeeper and a tiger is the shit that sends you over the top?
