Race is a social construct made up by slave holders to help create justification for slavery. In 1500, people in England weren't saying we're white and Germans are white, so we are together! It wasn't until later that race has transformed into what we know today. Now we look at it as a science with all kinds of differences, but it's all folksy bullshit.

There is no black, there is no white. We are all mixes and very complicated ones. You have over 50 countries in Africa. What does African mean? What does someone in Ghana have in common with someone in South Africa? Yes there skin is both "black" but what heritage do they have in common that makes them in a same group?

Or look at it another way, we arbitrarily divide America into North and South but what do we North Americans in usa have In common with the North Americans of Mexico? Or what do people in Colombia have in common with those in Peru? Just the fact they both speak Spanish?

Y'all need to analyze these things. These ideas are just created by rich wasps to justify discrimination. Our true heritage is so much deeper than a easy box. When i talk to a Jamaican i want them to tell me their history and heritage as pertains to them, when i talk to someone from durban South Africa, i want them to tell me their history and heritage. To reduce them both to "black" and then expect them to have anything in common with a "black" "african- American" in South Carolina, is silly.

If you told someone to classify themselves based on eye color, you ask would laugh and say it's silly. Justifying on skin color is the same thing. It's man made bullshit. Waka is simply acknowledging and understanding this silly division t that is meaningless.
