Ok, so all I've been hearing on here lately is the hoopla about this Nicki Minaj/Lil Kim beef. I didn't wanna comment on it cuz it's a waste of time and the taxpayers money; they both suck, face it. But I keep hear Lil Kim supporters say "well, she got a legacy, she's a legend", yadda yadda yadda. Legend at what, exactly? Maybe I'm not a fan, maybe I been living in a cave for the past decade. But after Big passed, the only decent thing she's been involved in was Quiet Storm. Other female rappers have put out better material, including Fox (ghostwritten or not, she still made some hot shit), Missy, Eve, etc. So why are we up in arms for her "legacy" when the only use for her albums (after Hardcore, ghostwritten by Big) is masturbation material for jailbirds and teenagers? Does anyone know a song by Lil Kim outside of her singles that's touching anything by her peers? No hate or anything, just curious to know if niggas is actually checking for Kim, or just taking her side in spite of Nicki.

Considering all her albums have gone platinum with the last one being gold, i would say yes people were checking. You can't front on chicks numbers or accomplishments, she lasted longer than Foxy,Eve,etc and stood on her own after Biggie died. Foxy couldn't stand on her own once Jay and Nas left her, Eve couldn't stand on her own once RR left her,etc.
