Corny punchlines don't bother me. I actually enjoy them. It brings an element of humor in the music. It actually takes some creativity to come up with that shit. J. Cole and Jay-Z say a lot of corny shit and don't get chastised for it but if it were Cam'ron or Wayne people make a big deal about it.
Ah c'mon nigga that's weak. If he were writin' shitty punchlines on purpose in an ironic way, like to satirise the current state of hip-hop or something, then I'd say 'fair enough'. But he's not doin' that. His lines are wack coz he is wack
That nigga will cape for anyone not on roc nation or good bruh
but but but bitter_b has over 3 million songs on his i pod why would he ever be bias against roc nation? his friends look to him when it comes to music CJ you clearly can't be telling the truth.
Yea I'm biased against Roc Nation even though I said In My Lifetime Vol. 1 and The Blueprint are classic. Even though I said Jay Electronica is top 3 of this generation. I hate GOOD Music even though I ranked Late Registration as a top 5 album of the 2000's. Even though I purchased Big Sean's album and will continue to support him. Even though Q-Tip is probably in my top 10 all time favorites and I still bump The Renaissance at least once a week. Even though I'm one of the only posters on this site who doesn't think Tity Boi is wack.
All I said was Kid Cudi is wack, J. Cole makes boring music, Pusha T's work with the Clipse was great and he has solid features but he's unable to carry a solo project and I don't care how much he bulges his eyes out and talks about Wayne, Jay-Z hasn't made a good project in 6 years and Kanye is overrated. Those are honest opinions.
Any questions?
bitter_b not sure why your addressing my post when i was defending you. i was just telling CJ that your 3 million i pod songs makes you not biased. no need to make up shit about liking roc nation half jokingly.
lmaoo this nigga said im my lifetime vol. 1 was a classic just for shock
@Monizzle14
Don't try to speak to someone of higher intelligence than you in a sarcastic tone. And when you're calling me biased and I use the fact that I have 30,000 songs in my iTunes as an argument against that assertion I think it's a fair point.
And half jokingly make up shit about Roc Nation? What's half joking? It is a wack ass label that doesn't promote their artists correct. I completely disagree with the way Jay runs that business. With that said, it doesn't mean I'm "biased". It just means I have an opinion about it. How is it biased when I appreciate past work from the involved artists?
As far as Vol. 1, all
REAL hip hop heads that have a good ear and true Jay fans know what's up when it comes to that album. Shit is a classic in every sense of the word. But I guess Jay didn't drill that into yall heads like he did with
Reasonable Doubt enough times for you to appreciate it.
Song for song Volume 1 has some of his best material with tracks like Imaginary Player, Who You Wit II, Streets Is Watching, Where I'm From, etc.. His delivery, flow and even content was much improved on this album from his debut effort.
Goddamn yall so brainwashed that someone can't be critical of your favorite rapper without you jumping to conclusions. Even after they explain themselves. Shit is disgusting.
