Depending on the age of the kids, I'm rollin with this...

But I tell my wife all the time... There's just this certain age range of youth that I just don't have a clue what we could do with and we just need to blow them muthafuckas up.

Middle school years...that 12-14 range. Looking back in how I was I'm shocked neither one of my parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles whoever didn't 2piece me on a weekly basis. I was outa pocket af and so we're all my friends lmao

That's the hard range I used to state whenever the topic came up... But these past few years got me inclined to extend that shit upwards to about 16 to maybe even 19 with all these lil Chief Keef ass nigglets runnin 'round out here.

Damn these are all great choices to do volunteer work with.

Fuck it I would just rotate through all of them with 3 hours a week and whoever that week seems to have the most pressing need would get the left over hours that week.

good idea...

I don't have patience with certain kids that may need it.

I love older people even the mean ones especially when they funny with being mean.

Also didn't want to just pick the kids options because I'm sort of dealing with an issue in that regard right now.

I've also dealt with taking care of older family members as well.

I cared for 2 older family members with dementia and it was so fucked up because they were 2 very sharp people mentally before it all started to go bad. Both knew it though cause they would say something about it here and there.

Got a younger family member now who in a fucked up jam and he going to do some time its just a matter of how much and he looking at nothing less than 5. That is with a plea.

Thing is with him just had a baby and through it all I just I wish I would've spent more time with him. It may or may not have changed his situation but we'll never know now. I could've made time in my schedule for him but I DIDN'T and that is what is bothering me the most.

If you can take her places that she always used to go. Keep her around people she knows and in familiar surroundings as much as possible. It helps them a whole lot. When people with dementia are forced to move into a new environment is usually speeds up the process of their deterioration.

Had a friend of mine go through it with his folks and they told me about keeping them busy and around familiar surrounding and people cause that is what they were told by their parents doctor.

Then my folks who I was helping take care of. He lived DC his whole life and soon was going to need 24 hour care but that was good time away based on how they were at the moment. Even with dementia they would tell family members no matter what they didn't want to move. Well the person who had kind of had the say so on that lived out of town. They forced my folks to move and in less than a year they had completely deteriorated and died. They were put in a brand new environment in a brand new state around people they didn't know.

@2stepz_ahead here is something real quick I found
http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/dementia-guide/Pages/dementia-home-environment.aspx

The way your home is designed and laid out can have a big impact on someone with dementia.

Symptoms of memory loss, confusion and difficulty learning new things means that someone with dementia may forget where they are, where things are and how things work.

If they're able to stay in their own home, the familiar objects will be reassuring, and it's not advisable to make major changes or adaptations to their homes overnight.

The bold is all my folks wanted and it was taken away for no good damn reason. Have to remember their mind is slowly going and its hard for them to learn new things and get comfortable. So being around what they know is what they really need because they already know how it works or where something is. They are already comfortable.
