I cant take that list serious, they need to re-do it from our perspective.

Any list that has Curtis Mayfield #84 is pure garbage. Top 20 at worse to anyone that knows music and that's at worse. The list should be used like toilet tissue

Thankyou family

aint nobody complaining that Mariah Carey is so low??

I did.

But people in the IC aren't fans of pop/popular music. And with the better half of her career being geared towards a popular audience and not the more adult content like earlier (Pre-Butterfly maybe?), niggas in the IC ain't going for that.

Based on her success of number one albums she should of been higher

That may be true, but people are on here crying about how the list is about sales already (which isn't true), so that would just add fuel to the fire.

Plus, just to make your point, Boys II Men have a shit load of 1's, too, but they're no where to be seen.

I just don't get how they have The Beatles at number 1, Beatlemania ended in the 70's, Mike was the most famous man on earth and you telling me The Beatles and Bob Dylan are better then him? Hell No!

why would anyone really give a fuck what VH1 thinks??? Why black people try so hard to impress white people? Fuck what they think. This is hip-hop...hood music. Not saying whites from the hood can't be a part of hip-hop but I don't understand why black people put so much emphasis on what white people think. Shit is sad. Do you think they get all excited when they get a BET nomination? seriously, we need to stop trying to get their appoval for shit that we do

How many of you watch VH1 anyway? I know I don't, because they rarely play the music I like.

The list was made for their customer base.

I watch it more than BET and MTV, they don't play videos at all no more!
I only watch VH1 for Behind The Music, T.O. show, The Hip Hop Greatest Song countdown and I Love The (70's, 80's, 90's) series

You do realize how big the Beatles are...right? The Beatles are the second highest selling artists this decade. Practically 30 years after Lennon died. Beatlemania never ended.

Not saying I agree or disagree with you, because yeah, MJ shouldnt be any lower than 3 (I thought MJ and the Beatles would actually be next to each other)

I know how famous they are but, when Ringo Starr goes out, he doesn't have the press and Paparazzi all on his ass like they did Mike, every move Mike did they was there, they recorded the man at a video store at 2 in the morning, how did they know he was gonna be there at 2 in the morning?

Paul McCartney isn't as famous as Mike is either, that's why I said Beatlemania is over, Mike was the most famous man on the planet.

Yo no Diana Ross, Barry White,Luther Vandross, Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men, Usher, Patti Labelle, Lionel Richie, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood?

SMDH @ VH1 ol racist ass for coming up with another garbage list.

-Top three is OK just move Bob Dylan to 3 and MJ to 2

-Beyonce shouldn't be that high on the list that and she's not the GOAT female R&B singer.

- Jay-Z higher than Big, Pac, Em, LL, P.E.(which I'm surprised they made this list considering the fact that white people were scared of them) blasphemy. White folks really need to stop making him the Jesus Christ of Hip-Hop/Rap.
