In terms of actual wrestling, the Attitude era from 97-99 wasnt that great, but once the Radicals and some of the all time great tag teams came, it was the most talented roster maybe ever.

1. Hulk Hogan wasnt that good of a heel. Yes, he was probably the most over heel ever and his Bash at the Beach promo is GOAT, but his promos ranged from decent to wack. He mostly got over as a heel cause of his legacy. The nWo gets credit for bringing reality to wrestling, but it was really the Outsiders that did it (when Hall finally stopped talking like Razor). Hogan was still cutting 80s style cartoonish gimmick promos as Hollywood Hogan and showing off his terrible acting skills. It was Hall and Nash breaking kayfabe cutting those shoot style promos and constantly sonning their opponents on the mic. Hogan just looked corny and out of place. A middle aged dude trying to be hip. Exzibit A..

It's ridiculous how misused Sting was after the Hogan fued. He was the champion and the biggest baby face at the time, and yet somehow became an afterthought. It's like they completely forgot he had to have new storylines afterwards so they just threw him in the Wolfpac (which made no sense) and made him Nash's sidekick.
