Incorrect. They demo'd it for Beyonce and she never got back to them about it, then it was suddenly on her album

That means that they came to her with a version of the song already made. She heard it but never got back to them about the song, yet it still ended up on her album and Detail got a credit for making the beat

Once again, have you listened to Good Morning? Future released that song when he heard that Beyonce was about to release Drunk in Love as a single.

Why do you think he would do this without fear of action being taken by Beyonce's legal team?

Idk Fam niggas have different ways of viewing shit. Jay/Nas/GFK are my three favorite artist. When I heard that Superb might have been the pen behind Supreme Clientele I was disappointed. When I heard the shit about Nas nigger album, I felt the same.

It's not that we look up to rappers for guidance (although some niggas on this do) its just that if you love music and authenticity the shit does bother you to some extent.

Would I stop listening to those records if those rumors were true? Probably not.

But I won't have the same feelings about them if those rumors were true.

The reason being is that most vocalists can't/don't write great records. So the people behind the scenes who invest in these artists know there's potential based on vocal ability. So they have to get a return on their investment. Vocalist far and beyond have been known to use writers for years. That's just the nature of R&B.

But hip hop is a whole other animal. These niggas get signed off 16's. You can spit one hot verse and be signed tomorrow. Same as with R&B. But your pen carries more weight in hip hop.

When these executives used to listen to niggas bars before the money and fame they always thought longevity and creativeness. Meaning if said artist can write this what else can he do and who can he do it for.

This is why the pen is mightier than the sword. You can always segue your writing ability into other ventures but your vocals may diminish.

That's why I respect niggas pen game. That's why I never compare hip hop and R&B.
