I guess nobody watched the vid.

3 songs in a 20 plus year career? I aint trippin bout that. He said he just recently did it just fuckin around on a crunk type track. This was post adrenaline rush, post kamikaze , but niggas quick to read the thread title and not check facts.

That's 3 too many bruh. But it isn't like he's Puffy or Dre status with the ghostwriters though but it is what it is.

So those 3 songs he recently used ghostwriters for negates his whole career? In that case Cube shouldnt be on any lists either.

Twista ain't someone I would check for as far as lyricism anyways so him admitting to it even if its 3 songs don't change my opinion of him. He had some hot joints & left his mark, but this isn't something anyone really should give a shit about.

Twista aint lyrical? Twista epitomizes lyricism.

I never said it negates his career. Maybe I'm old school in my beliefs but I feel that rappers should write all their lyrics, choruses can be excused.

But old school dudes had ghost writers and y does ALL the lyrics exclude choruses?

It depends on who the old school dude was. Biz Markie was more of an entertainer than a true emcee, where as if Kool G Rap used ghostwriters he'd lose credibility.

Choruses are excluded because it doesn't matter choruses are simply the break in between the verses, so it makes it inconsequential.

who the fuck can ever decipher the shit he's rapping that he needs a ghostwriter? dude could be saying the same lyrics on every song for the past 20 years for all we know.

Stop trying to make this ghostwriting shit happen; it's not going to happen.

You fuck niggas know what the difference is between the chorus and actual bars.

Ya'll want the game to be bubblegum pop sooooooo bad.

It's wack no matter who do it. Hip hop has always been about originality and standin on your own two.

but the first rap song to pop was ghostwritten........

First rap song to pop isn't a part of the Golden Era. Niggas evolved beyond that.

If u can't write it yourself you don't need to say it

An idea is not bad just because it isn't spoken by the source

That being said though you lose your credentials as an "artist" when your art is not your own creation. Particularly in music where the production is already done by other people. If you are not writing your rhymes you're not an artist, just a performer.

@Elzo69Renaissance That's like not punishing a child for stealing, then sayin it's still ok when they 30. The game needed time to grow. Wasn't no bylaws then.

We had to accept wack niggas a decade ago, now they want us to accept rappers that use ghostwriters smh.

Unless you're Diddy, Dre, Drake, Eazy E and people of that ilk you will lose credibility instantly.

Bruh! In 2016 it will come to light that more of these niggas favourite rappers and father figures have used a ghost writer from time to time.

That includes Nas and Jay.

Well there was some light shed on that regarding the N. I. G. G. E. R. album and some chick alleging Nasir had tracks written for him on that LP by Jay Electronica and stic.man of dead prez... who also produced on the album

However it was debunked by two of them.

I think NaS said (not too sure) the only nigga he get rhyme ideas from is his blood brother Jungle..
