3 songs in a 20 plus year career? I aint trippin bout that. He said he just recently did it just fuckin around on a crunk type track. This was post adrenaline rush, post kamikaze , but niggas quick to read the thread title and not check facts.

That's 3 too many bruh. But it isn't like he's Puffy or Dre status with the ghostwriters though but it is what it is.

So those 3 songs he recently used ghostwriters for negates his whole career? In that case Cube shouldnt be on any lists either.

Twista ain't someone I would check for as far as lyricism anyways so him admitting to it even if its 3 songs don't change my opinion of him. He had some hot joints & left his mark, but this isn't something anyone really should give a shit about.

Twista aint lyrical? Twista epitomizes lyricism.

I never said it negates his career. Maybe I'm old school in my beliefs but I feel that rappers should write all their lyrics, choruses can be excused.

It always irked me when they called him a "gimmick" rapper.....just because the nigga can rap circles literally around your fav rapper...its a gimmick. ..FOH

They say all the lyrics excludes choruses because it's convenient to make sure their favorite artists fit the "I write everything" criteria. A lot of artists use samples and/or singers to write and/or sing how they (the rapper) feels. The chorus can often be the hardest part of a song to write for many artists but excluding choruses from the "I write everything" criteria protects these artists from criticism.

Bruh, I don't give no fuck what any nigga says...if you're a rapper and you used ghost writers, you are automatically knocked down a bit in my book. How much depends on who much of your shit was actually written by someone else. Period.

well, i think it depends on what songs he is talking about

if it was when he first got on...then who cares...but if it was his most recent stuff...then this would only be an issue there

i mean, i aint no rapper, but i can believe when you first starting out, not everybody know what a bar is, so somebody might write a song for you to teach you how to structure a song with bridges and hooks

But at the end of the day, whats more important? The message or the messenger?

Man im disgusted. To be honest, now that he admitted to it I can tell he probably used ghostwriters on singles and records that aren't his style but still fucked up.
