Spicer On Military Action In Iran: Trump 'Doesn't Take Options Off The Table'

Asked if President Donald Trump would consider taking military action against Iran, White House Press Secretary said Friday that Trump never takes options off the table.

"The President's been very clear," Spicer said during the daily press briefing. "He doesn't take options off the table, but he understands the impact of something like" military action."

The Trump administration had announced earlier Friday that the Treasury Department would place new economic sanctions on Iran after the country tested a ballistic missile.

That's such a silly argument. Nothing major in this world ever got accomplished without the loss of innocent life. You don't think innocent people were killed freeing the slaves? You don't think innocent people were killed getting our Civil Right? It's always a tragedy, but that's how it goes. If Obama dropped bombs killing thousands of people to save millions, and that was the only reasonable way to save those millions, then he made the right call. You can believe it wasn't the only way, and that's fine, but again, how can you know that if you don't have any of the details that lead to that decision being made?
