Looks like there is gonna be a lot of angst in these characters.

I think most of us got burned off that bullshit finale. It seemed like some down South cult bullshit with literary ties and a video more freaky than The Ring but esentially some redneck incest dude and his mom kept a dude barely alive liken in Se7en and then the fat fuck knuckle got capped when Rust had a hallucination, got stabbed and needed the help of the guy whose wife he fucked to clap the dude. It was a fucking abysmal ending to a show that seemed densely plotted and beautifully film to create a real fucking tense atmosphere of paranoia and most of the shit didn't even pay off. What was with the daughter playing gang rape with her dollies? What the fuck was on that video?
It basically built itself up and then shot itself in the foot so it could have a last minute feel good "I found the light, hallelujah!" ending that, while well acted, made no fucking sense in relation to the rest of the show and the depiction of Rustin Cohle. Dude doped on morphine in a coma thinks he connects to God rather than using his sense and cynicism, as he showed he had, to go "Man, I need to stop taking dope, makes me imagine some bullshit!"? It just fucking sucked and seemed like McConaughey signed on and asked for script changes so if he played an atheist he'd not stay as one.

Instead they catch dirty possessed guy who practices incest and such.. My beef is the series implied higher society types covering these acts up( which I liked, because i I believe these satanic cults exist in our society and practice sacrificial ritualism)
My point is the ones who do these things wear business suits not just the stereotypical guy which was portrayed

Yeah, the whole ritual abuse through the church funded schools thing never got any further, if anything I would have hoped Rust would have said something so his partner took that lead to go beat the shit out of that slick talking prick with the massive office. They set it up like two guys would fucking bring down the state corruption after the were almost ruined themselves by the case, it just turned into a incestuous redneck with a fucked up backyard who may or may not have actually been related to or a product of those generations long rituals of gang rape in service to the cult based around the Yellow King mythology... but nope, those were all just red herrings, just a fat redneck who fucks his mom and tortures his dad with a crazy treehouse. Oh, and the guy who hates life finds God after he nearly gets killed by a maniac, which if anything proved the brutal cruelty of life and the suffering you incur on the road to doing good things once again. You know, the character they built up for 7 episodes?
All that work for so little made little sense.
