I'm currently reading an article in Fast Company magazine about this brother from South side Jamaica Queens making moves in Silicon Valley. Very inspiring. Here's some videos of him

INB4 he gets sued by a spoiled white boy who thinks he was passed over for "less qualified" blacks/Latinos.

Awesome video though.

I just watched the hour video. Dude is bright and the point I took from it is basically, "these muthafukkas aint superman. It just takes dedication and drive tto be successful, as well are actually LIKing/LOVIng what you do instead of just doing something for the money."

Amma follow his advice one of these days LOL

Finally got a chance to give the video my undivided attention. Great lessons in there. I especially like the part discussing about having authenticity (integrity/unique originality) and understanding that the trials are the same as rewards. Good knowledge to hold. In fact, a circle of friends and I were discussing the same thing about how trials are the same as blessings. Powerful to see that lesson being brought to my mind again. Let's me know the understanding is something I need to take in and let dwell.

Again, appreciate the post bruh. Peace and prosperity to Walker and Company.

No problem. Had to share. I thought more people would be discussing this.

Good shit. I'll have to read the article later. It's worth noting that he graduated valedictorian of his college.

But let me say this. A lot of you fellas would think that he's probably a 'coon' because of how he sounds, and a lot of black women would reject him outright once he opens up his mouth (assuming they didn't know who he was).

You obviously don't know how many blacks from and that have lived for years in the Bay Area talk.

Don't ruin the thread, everyone was giving props until you came with your salt self

What is important to retain IMO out of this story is the emphasis on the ENVIRONMENT. Even if its excelling at sports is very good parents SHOULD BROADEN THE SPECTRUM to their children and teach them constantly that their are other options.
