BUt if there was an altercation (which witnesses say there was) then Zimmerman had a right to self defense.

The problem I have with this is that It's not like Trayvon was following Zimmerman down the street while Zimmerman was minding his business, on the phone with his girlfriend trying to get home in the rain. It was the other way around. You don't get to pursue someone in a stalker-like fashion, against the advice of authorities ... Get out of your car and initiate a confrontation like you're Billy Bad-ass... and then when the tables turn and your are getting your ass handed to you (assuming this is what happened) ... shoot the person and claim self-defense. Zimmerman went looking for a fight. He's a murderer.

The best way GZ could have "defended" himself if he really "felt in fear of his life" was to stay in his car in the first place like he was told.

This whole case has been put under the microscope & now people want justice. How can this guy get a fair trail? he's been chastised by the entire black community - endless innuendos by members of the congress & the President. Seriously he's already been convicted - & now Joe public is being held hostage to fear - what will black people do next - stand behind the racist NBPP & support whatever they wanna do as if they will bring this man to justice - BTW RIP to trayvon. The media has really turned this tragedy into A circus type environment.

IMO that black racist woman (red cowgirl hat) who claimed he was hunted down like some rabid dog - should get a Grammy for acting & twisting the truth.

But Trayvon WAS hunted down like a rabid dog. He was stalked, confronted, and murdered. What part of that don't you understand? The kid only had skittles and ice tea, and committed no crime walking to his father's house....so why did he deserve to be stalked and killed? If George Zimmerman had stayed in his fucking car, the kid would be alive and Zimmerman wouldn't have to fear the New Black Panthers and others who want his blood or justice. His life is now over, I hope he's happy. He's an idiot with a violent arrest record who should be locked away forever. Or beaten to death, either way works for me.

So if those who feel he was hunted down like a dog told you to jump off the nearest bridge, would you? BTW if the young man hadn't decided to push the envelope & attack the man who @ the time was retreating back to his vehicle just maybe he woulld be alive now? INNOCENT child/kid from the get go ? the media plaed that & nobody wants to see innocent children/kids klled by some self-appointed watchman. This case is gonna unite folks or divide them - even if justice is served & it doesn't go your way, whatcha gonna do?

While I do agree that the media has instigated this case to the highest order, I still feel Zimmerman should be prosecuted for Manslaughter, or at the bare minimum, Criminally Negligent Homicide.

zimmerman was on the phone with 911 while following Trayvon. He Was in his vehicle Trayvon was on Foot. He got out of his vehicle, HE confronted Trayvon. He started the altercation.

If anyone follows me in their car then gets out and approaches me then I have the right to protect myself.

He never saw Trayvon go inside nobody house and he didnt see him come out of one either. He should have cut his "wannabe" cop losses and tried again another night.

What isn't pushed by the media? That's why it's the MEDIA? You can make the same argument about Kim Kardashian's sex life or any other topic on the news. But why not just plainly make your own statement instead of trying to play like you are questioning the media. the point of you making this thread is you think Trayvon Martin deserved to be shot. BTW a hispanic/jew mixed person can't be racist???

The MEDIA IS HELPING THE WHOLE THING ITS NOT BLOWING IT OUT OF PORTION

IF YOUR SON GOT KILLED IF YOUR BROTHER IF YOUR COUSIN IF YOUR FATHER IF YOUR UNCLE GOT KILLED

WHITE OR BLACK YOU WOULD WANT SOMETHING DONE

THE PROBLEM IS NOTHING IS BEING DONE

THE JUSTICE SYSTEM HAS NEVER BEEN MY FRIEND AND THE MEDIA IS SHOWING ME IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO IS BEING MISTREATED

#3 That black dude was a hired consultant.he admitted he doesn't know Zimmerman

Whoa, you talking about Joe Oliver?? I knew there was a reason he didn't sound convincing on TV...

i don't know if it's sad or funny that each side is basically throwing out their theory on what happened and then complaining about the other side espousing a theory that can't be confirmed

Both of these race hustlers need to go-away/die off & those so-called black politicians who play the race game/card. IMO in today's political climate those entities can pretty much say & do whatever they want.as they hide behind the color of their skin & play both sides against the middle.....dontcha just love it? the overt hypocrisy - there's no such thing as integrity in our government....most are to damn busy playing games with one another or inciting others with malarkey.

Allah U. Akbar claims/said

Trayvon was asked if the jewelry, which was mostly women’s rings and earrings, belonged to his family or a girlfriend.

“Martin replied it’s not mine. A friend gave it to me,” according to the report. Trayvon declined to name the friend.

Here's the hypocrisy so many black people refuse to understand. Given these facts above I'll hypothesize for the moment and see how some of you folks respond. If this young man were white - & was caught with these items would black people/ et al not draw some serious conclusions about what this young white boy/ man was potentially up to. The outrage is understandable (Trayvon Martine case), but why is it always directed toward others who had absolutely nothing to do with this case? I swear the double standard has become so acceptable today, the truth doesn't really matter anymore.

theres no hypocrisy...

1. he was"suspected" not proven to be the 'burglar'.

2. even if he did, does that mean h deserved to die?

crawl back in your hole, scum.

its the "stand your ground" law being questioned, not the gun laws.
...since when does the "stand your ground" law NOT qualify as a gun law?

let me further note that as people attack it, they make statements blaming the GOP/the NRA/"Florida's gun laws" as they do so. when you start this, it's clear you're not focused solely on the specifics of that one law in a way that's not about gun laws in Florida
