First film was really great. Funny, but really depressing at the same time. I could relate to some stuff in it too. Its been years since i saw the first one but i am gonna watch it again probably tonight.
I wonder what the story is going to be. Wonder if the cast relapses or gets involved in something else. Excited to see the sequel though. 20 years later, goddamn haha.

Following Steve Jobs, as overlooked as a star-studded film about the century’s most famous technical mind might be, Danny Boyle has returned to territory that will certainly get him more attention for this next film. His next film is a sequel to Trainspotting, his 1996 feature about a group of self-destructive heroin users. Featuring the return of Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, and Robert Carlyle, the second trailer has arrived.
This, too, contains an energetic blast of imagery as our gang reunites after two decades, though this expands the scope somewhat — at least in the sense that one might be able to deduce what, exactly, is spurring this reunion in the first place. With a script by John Hodge and photography from Anthony Dod Mantle, check out the trailer below.

Just come back from watching it.
It was never going to top the original, but then not much can and nobody would expect it to. Still a seriously enertaining film that is a lot more emotional than the first. The ending is a bit of a downer though.
