The departed was garbage....friends of Eddie Coyle is the best Boston movie and most authentic.

As someone that lived there, it's rare when any those movies catch the true essence of that city.

Even if you want to count the Fighter Mystic River was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than that overrated movie.

Everyone gonna say the Departed for good reason.

The Town is underrated especially if you got the Director's Cut.

Gonna watch Goodwill Hunting again soon.

There are some slept on Boston hood movies from the 90s tho (Squeeze might not even be the best one but it was one of them)...

Never seen Friends of Eddie Coyle but I'mma check it out.

Running Scared was a damn god movie tho (the 2006 version with Paul Walker), and I need to see the original.
