Check it out 10 years from now, G Rap, Kane, Rakim will still be up there in the top 10 convo

None of the dudes now will be

That's just how it works kid, I seen it happen over and over

In the late 90s a load of dudes were like, "these old rappers are washed up! Mase is the greatest rapper!"
Early 2000s, "these old rappers are washed up, no one bumps them in the whip LOL! DMX is the greatest ever!"
A few years ago people claiming Chamillionaire is one of the best. They all disappear off the lists.

These people come and go, the pioneers and golden age cats always stay in the conversation
It's known as the golden age for a reason, and if you don't know that there was a golden age, then you really don't know hip-hop

Man can people even claim Nas ,Em and Jay as todays Mc's? All these dudes are over 36 and they were out putting in work in hip-hop's golden era, they were active then and each now have been on the national level for over 10+ years. I'd say they fall closer on the other side of the equation. Even Wayne's been doing this for 13+ years he's not even today's Mc but ya'll can have him. I'm thinking rappers that been in the game less than 10 years.
But anyway these cats only have better beats then back in the day, cause it's what's hot now, but years from now a lot of today's beat will sound dated and over processed. Man I can't count how many rappers are rapping over preset Fruity Loop beats or sound packs. On lyrics and flows No, they are not fucking with Kane, KRS 1, and others. There were some wack ones too back then Rob Base, Positive K, Father MC, RedHead Kingpin, etc. But they did not get much shine and knew what role they played the new wack dudes don't. Plus there is less of a balance today, the industry dictates what's going on in the streets instead of listening to the streets as to what's hot
And as for performance what new dude is fucking with Hammer? He's was a below average rapper back then he knew that as did the heads we did not say hammer was the GOAT, we said damn he puts on one hell of a show. Nate Dogg could make or break a song, we didn't say man, Nate Dogg can really sing we just said hey he can set a song off. But it seems like now everyone has to be the Goat this or the Goat that, if not you are a hating ass crab. Dudes need to stay line their lane
