Totally agree with Crooked...

The main problem with a lot of the newer guys is that they don't study the best people, they don't look to Rakim or G Rap or Big Daddy Kane to learn from... instead they look to whoever is on the radio with a hit right now.
And so the cycle continues, new MCs learning from MCs with hits 2 years ago, and them before that etc.

He's right, as the years go by the new rappers are only interested in Faking Controversy, chasing Hit Singles and acting soft or overly gangsta....

Niggas don't care about their community no more, political music, or lyrics...nobody wanna put the wrok in...everyone wants to be a cocaine boss or a pretty boy wearing tight jeans.

take Kanye West for example, this nigga always trying to fake controversy, be different on some faggot shit...in the 90's a nigga like this wud have got shitted on...

after the 90's hip hop became big business and it's been downhill ever since...

this is why Jay z is still on top cuz everyone after him is soft or gay

Jay-Z is the one who started this soft shit, with R&B hooks... Hip-Hop started its downhill trend the year his debut album came out

niggas can't be for real
a lotta these new lyrical niggas would shit on the old lyrical niggas
just cuz you did it first don't mean you did it the best
i personally think slaughterhouse would murk every 80s rapper named
shit
every 90s rapper as well
you can sit there with your emotions and memories and all that
but you can't honestly tell me that tupac is LYRICALLY fucking with them niggas
and i don't even like them dudes
i'm just usin them as an example
a nigga can't tell me biggie is LYRICALLY fuckin with lupe
you can't tell me that big daddy kane would murk nas on a song, in a battle, hell anywhere
eminem shits on krs
and niggas gon hate me for this
but ross is killin the mafioso rap right now
you niggas is just stuck on this "golden era" shit
not to say it wasn't golden
but niggas have progressed
at least some of the niggas anyway

here we go with this "i wish it was the 90s" bullshit. how do people expect hip hop to progress if people are stuck in the past?

You need to go listen to the catalogs of Kool G Rap, Rakim, KRS, Big Daddy Kane, and then you'll understand his point
