yeah of course, but many of these cats on here aren't struggling like that. Well that's just speculating. I'm saying all these posters claim to have nice jobs and drive decent cars but all of a sudden get cheap when it comes to their favorite artist.

With the internet and how easy it is to get shit for free you have to release quality music first and foremost. Niggas aint buying whack albums anymore. We all get to listen to that shit first and decide if we want to spend money on it. I still buy music but only if I think it deserves my dollar. Also most people can afford to buy an album or two so I don't buy that argument. I just think that at the end of the day there are only a handful of albums that are truly worth paying for considering you can get it for free. The industry needs to realize that they are going to have to step their game up and stop releasing bull shit. Don't get me wrong album sales will never be what they were before but they can be better if the music was just better. I think people are past the stage of just buying an album because it is hyped.

If you can't afford 10 bucks you lost somewhere in life. I have no problem paying for an album because i know what it means, artist wont get dropped and they can afford to record another album. If someone is gonna make what i like, it's only right i pay to listen to it.

The article is pretty much on point, these days if you're a new artist there is no time to develop as an act, you can no longer release albums that don't sell well before breaking big. Now, if you don't go platinum on your first release your career is fucked. Mp3 fucked up the music industry's antiquated system of selling music. Gone are the days of going to tower records to buy an album with one, maybe two good songs for $18.99. In the last 10 years I only bought two albums.

Let me state that those 100,000 were in the United States. I also agree that there are too many artist being put out, mfs like DTP, Oschino, Mack Mane, etc shouldn't even be getting record deals. These labels need to do a better job A&Ring and develop the talented artist they do have, they treat these artist like hookers, put them on the street and hope they turn a profit.
