Its not so hard to study a rapper and do an imitation of their style. Havent heard dude sing yet. just anybody cant sing like Usher and people probably dont wanna hear Usher clones like that but rap is different. people did versions of Rakim (or were influenced) and even Bone and numerous other rappers. Bone's style wasnt so easy to come up with, but anybody could listen to it and imitate it. I could, anybody could. So its not that Future's style is somehow the easiest to imitate. Its just the popularity of it led to an imitation. I could "sound like Future or pretty much any rapper by listening to one or a few of their songs. Thats easy and something anyone could do...well lets see where it goes at any rate.

Dude's had one hit...a big one with similarities to another established artist's style. Future's had countless hits, double digits and been featured on several others. I can dig this to a degree. But a lot of Southern music is different. Singing and melodies involved. All that was out way before hip hop. Rhyming in songs goes way back. Thats part of people from other areas complaints on here is the South does things differently. There Are Southerners who rap more hip hop style I guess but many who are outside that classification. But New York was influenced by the South, islands, etc and still is...the influence isnt confined. James Brown the most sampled man in hip hop history and a huge influence on New York music was from....wait for it....Augusta, Georgia. Its not structured. influence is kinda free. Not a bad thing it just doesnt have walls and borders.
