I worked at IHOP for half a year and it was utterly disgusting. Fortunately I was the cashier so I did not have to work with the food. Unfortunately I got free meals so I had to eat there daily. The food is really disgusting. I mean, seriously..... It stank like cigarettes everywhere in that place. If i go to a pancake house, I go to Denny's, but even then I don't go to Denny's that much either because it's pretty much the same.

After I quit the IHOP I worked at, which was a franchise, was taken over by corporate, because the manager was arrested for fraud.

There's some pancake house in Dallas I will go to that's really good. Basically I will only go to independently owned pancake houses now. The rest are shit.

waffle house easily. not only because i like waffles better than pancakes but because of the overall experience. ihop is just a typical dine-in you frequent. waffle house on the other hand is a religious outing. a cultural icon even. its been featured in movies, songs, stand-up comedy. hell the last time i went, they had french montana in the jukebox, i threw that on and the waitress was twerking behind the counter for my amusement while i waited on my pecan waffle to be made
