And i dont watch it, just have to vent. Like there's an intellectual difference between watching make believe Game of Thrones, or OITNB, or Walking Dead, etc vs scripted reality tv

I know we like to turn everything into a black white issue, but the Bachelor/Flavor of Love comparison is stupid. They are both dumb shows and concepts, but the Bachelor at least attempts to be classy in the way it's presented. Meanwhile, Flavor of Love was always meant to be a circus. So of course the Bachelor will be seen as classier. A better comparison would be Flavor of Love to Rock of Love or whatever the name of that show with the washed up rock n roll dude was named. I'm pretty sure, that show got similar criticism as Flavor of Love.

How is watching something with actual constructed plots, social themes, history etc not better than a vapid ass reality show? Not to say people can't or don't watch both but there's obviously a difference between the two. Same for documentaries vs some seth rogen hangover shit.
