While I agree that The South and The West put out some bass heavy music in the 90s and beyond. Lets not forget that The East Coast (NYC) was running the table all through the 80s.

this was a banging ass song. it's actually one of my all time favorites. with that said nyc was never really big on bass tracks and was part of the reason they never got that much play outside of nyc. bass music was an entire MOVEMENT down here. from uncle luke, to kilo, to dj magic mike, to edward j it was all about that 808. if you didnt have bottom you got no play down here. nyc tried it a few time with guys like masta ace inc and clowns like mims but it didnt work. ll bought the bottom once but on the low the 3 white boys put out the best bass music nyc has ever seen.

If you HAD to have 12's or 15s, your installer wasn't shit. I pulled 128db out of a pair of 10" JBL GTi subs in a Geo Storm back in '92 and 131db with the same subs in an Eagle Talon the same year.
