I didn't even hear this song until 10 years after it was released (when I bought Rakim's 18th Letter album in 1997, the second disc was a greatest hits of his and Eric B's past hits) but Rakim was way ahead of his time lyrically and to me this song even though it's 24 years old, it doesn't feel old at all... It's just an undying classic...
