If you had nothin to do with it why apologize? Apologizing is admitting guilt that you feel a certain way about people. You didnt take their land, you had no control what happened then, as long as you know you dont hate anyone based on somethin as little as skin color, you dont blame people for your problems, and you realize that what happened was fucked up you have no reason to apologize.

fair point, but it still wasnt right, and i am "white." and it does bother me to an extent that the native americans were just...annihilated basically. maybe apologize is the wrong word. maybe the right word would be sympathize or empathize.

i suppose its possible, but there is also the audience to think of ratings wise. it is sort of sad, but people tend to watch more if someones getting robbed, raped, shot, or going to jail. they could be doing it to be feeding hysteria, or they could be doing it to make money and the hysteria is just a mindless afterthought. until one of us is in the medai (or someone much like micheal moore decides to expose fox or nbc) all we have are theories, ideas. people like paris hilton make a medias living, and eventually people like her get a reality tv show... thats they way i see it. the media is an industry, and they exist to make money.
