That original video looks exactly like something chris cunningham would direct. an individual who i consider to be the godfather of strange, unusual, and trippy videos. maybe he drew inspiration from and was influenced by this?? but even stanley kubrick was impressed with his work and personally hunted him down to design the robot animitronic set pieces for the science fiction film A.I. he mostly directed videos by artists on the warp label like aphex twin, squarepusher, and autechre. but he also directed videos for artists outside the label like bjork, madonna, and most recently gil scott-heron.
