its crazy how so many so called hip hop and music heads dont understand that you cannot be a ghost writer AND receive credit...those two things are mutually exclusive

Bruh stop playing dumb. There's the slang definition created through social construct, and the by the book definition. You're arguing semantics for the fuck of it.

Having a ghostwriter in this context means, not writing all of your shit... but you already knew that.

Like Meek said:

Spitting another nigga's shit, but you claim you king though?

That's the problem.

my thing is if this definition is widely accepted then are we gonna have the same outrage for all rappers who do this?

It's not a matter of "if all rappers do this". It's a matter of claiming King of the Era and covering up the fact that you have a Handicap. Not only with The Corporate World but with your Raps as well.

You can't cast that Shadow over the game like that and make Drake the scapegoat and posterchild all of the impurities to come in and distort the ART even more.

I don't know about this "we" shit, but I certainly will. Luckily, I don't fuck with Drake on any scale, so this means nothing to me, besides making it clear that the rap part of Hip-Hop should uphold a certain level of integrity.

If it was an artist I actually fucked it, then I would really be pissed.

It's not on ignore. Y'all keep trying to make it sound like everyone in the game Top to Bottom is doing what Drake does and they're not.

Y'all keep trying to pound this message over and over again in everyone's head til the point of submission and confusion trying to make everybody believe what you want them to believe.

How is that comment real ?

What did Meek really do wrong? Call a nigga out for sending him another nigga verse and being shady after he confronted him about it ? All Meek did wrong was assume people would care

Nothing he did show signs of him being a "bitch ass nigga" lol

In my eyes, Meek always behaved like a bitch ass nigga even before this entire situation. But the way he went about dropping info nobody asked for is some female shit and I can't see how a real nigga would cosign it.

Ok, apparently this is how the entire situation went down. This is really just he say/she say by way of BoxDen via lipstick alley lol but it seems to reasonable not to be true:

This is the real tea that i found out from someone close to dj dramas girl. Meek found out from dj drama that drake had used a reference track from quinton for RICO. Meek confronted drake about it and they had a lil argument and drake felt like he was disrespected for the way meek came at him since he was doing a favor for meek. This happened the same week of meeks homecoming concert. Drake didnt show up because he was pissed at the way meek came at him. Meek was upset because drake was supposed to be the big celeb for his event. The track was already recorded and done when meek found out. Meek decided to still put the track on his cd. Months later meeks album comes out and drake doesnt tweet about it. Meek was upset because he felt like despite them having anargument, drake would still support since hes on the album. Meek started feeling himself when he saw how taylor went at nicki and how much love nicki was getting even though taylor is the bigger star. Meek felt like ill just expose drake and the public will side with me because they will see that drake is a fraud just like they sided with nicki over taylor. Word gets around to all the djs like charlemagne and flex that drama has a ref track and more ref tracks. Flex begs drama for the 10 bands track and drops it. By jow most djs already know that there are more ref tracks that drama has. None of them care because they dont want to ruin their relationship that drake has with their station. Flex decides to put it out there when he found out about the other ref tracks acting like he had it but drama wouldnt give it up. Meek didnt think drake would respond to him and was shocked when charged up came out. Meek did his diss record and told flex he would give it to him but was still trying to get the other ref tracks from drama to give to flex but drama wouldnt give it so flex and meek last minute decided not to premiere the diss track because they wanted to drop everything at the same time and ether drake. The next day drake releases his second track and shocks flex and meek because they werent expecting it. Meek already hAs his diss wanna know recorded but pretends like he still has to record it because he wAs still trying to get the ref tracks. Dj drama gives the track to meek who then tells flex that they are ready. Dj drama did not get paid for it. He wAs upset like op stated because he gave meek the ref tracks as a favor and meek went and called TI name in his track about the pee accident. TI got upset at drama and drama is pissed like op stated because he involved TI. Everything has backfired on all of them. Meek already knew about the p!ss incident but drama didnt think he would say it in his song and put TI name.

Another tea. The beggining of wanna know when meek talks about a !!!!! who went to jail for not snitching but later snitches. He was talking about AR-AB. When drake ref his name in back to back. Meek found out that AR-AB will be signing to ovo and has told his secrets to drake....meek is scared because drake has alot of info about him. This is the reason y drama gave the ref tracks to meek. They knew drake has ammo on meek and could air it out so as a friend drama gave the tracks thinking it would stop drake and it all backfired.

Again it's just gossip so you could take it with a grain of salt but sounds believable to me. And I never take gossip serious

Supposedly, a lot of rappers hate Drake, yet none of them are siding with Meek in this beef. Hmmmm.....Makes me think that a lot of rappers are uncomfortable with the talk of ghostwriting because most of them are using them too.

Also, @Trillaaaaaa just dropped some major Ether!

Ppl know drake can spit.

Some ppl probably upset with him being so lazy with the craft. And letting QM write an entire verse for him.

Drake could have made the track better if he wanted to but the laziness is the problem.

But it's a different situation with dude tho.

Different how? Different because it's fuckin Drake *shrug*

I honestly believed like most people whether they wanted to admit that they definitely fucked with him or not thought he was a next level artist. He was on a higher echelon of Rappers (even if he sings too much and has an offkey pitch in his voice). Drake was the fuckin shit

Did me, as a student believe he wrote every bar and made every melody, fuck no. But I believed he did 99% of it. His whole gimmick was tight and he was obliterating the competition. I even thought he put Kendrick on PC for a while even though Drake is scared of Charlamagne.

That's the big shocker. Plus he's going around claiming King and gettin all types of endorsements and props. That shit just sucks.

For me it ain't really so much about Meek Mill even though he dropped him with that "I wanna know" track.

Shit just really made Drake a weaker artist with me and it's opening pandora's box. Because if we give dude this pass then what's next? Vince McMahon droppin a song about his struggle coming up over a Stone Cold Steve Austin sample played all over Top 40 and Urban Radio....

I was thinking that shit too

Like why all other major artist not coming out.

But I been know rappers always help get their song crafted with others.

I seen it happen in the studio.

It's makes the track better when someone can give you input on your track.

Not a verse though. Maybe a bar or two and a hook or tell them to switch up the flow.
