[Update: Emmis Says No] Petition Asks Billboard To Retract Iggy Azalea's "Top Rap Song" Award Petition Asks Billboard To Retract Iggy Azalea's "Top Rap Song" Award Meek Mill Trolls Fans On Twitter With Fake Drake Diss Record Meek Mill Trolls Fans On Twitter With Fake Drake Diss Record

Someone started a petition to get Funk Flex fired from Hot 97 after not coming through with tonight's Meek response.

So this happened tonight. A seriously pissed off fan decided to start an online petition trying to force Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex to step down from his position at the station, following false promises that he was going to premiere Meek Mill’s response track to Drake on the air Monday night.

The petition, which you can sign here, currently has over 3200 signatures and claims that Flex lied to everyone for ratings and downloads of the Hot 97 app. The entire petition can be read as followed:

“There has always been word that DJ Funk Funkmaster Flex was not someone who was willing to give up his position at Hot 97 for his slot. Despite constant critiques from everywhere for the old man to step down, and give the younger people a shot he decided to stay where he was. Last year Dame Dash was at the forefront of the movement saying that Funk Flex really needs to just leave. Well, today was the last straw. This fraud of a DJ decided to lie to everyone for ratings and downloads of the Hot 97 app that Meek Mill would be on tonight to release a diss track to Drake to no avail. No one has given Hot 97 two hours of listening time since Biggie was alive, and it's a crime to have taken that from us. The people have spoken and it is time for Funk Flex to step down.”

While this petition will most likely not have any affect in Flex’s job security, it sure is hella funny to see fans get so into their emotions. What do you think of it all? Did Flex purposely lie for ratings?

I FEEL SORRY FOR NEW YORK .....THIS IS THE FACE OF YOUR HIPHOP REPRESENTATION IN 2015

Cole is the face. #TheTupacRules

lmao @ all the excuses and backtracking regarding meek mill, yall sound like drake fans.

bunch of excuses just say meek mill dont got his diss ready yet, and flex pretty much fucked up. only person that looks like an idiot here is flex and the people who believed in flex hogan. that hoe ass nigga flex doesnt speak for nY. feed that nigga to the wolves.

and what do politics got to do with anything, did politics silence kanye when 50 went at him, did politics silence ross when 50 went at him ?

New York lost not because of the Flex Hogan pump fake but for that garbage ass tracklist they forced us to listen to last night. They played more Future than fucking 107.9 and 103.3 in ATL combined. I knew the situation was dire up there but goddamn. The only NY rapper they played was that French and Chinx song. So A$AP Rocky new joint gets no love?

Atlanta Hip Hop Radio plays 80s classics during the day so they problably play more NY Hip Hop than Hot97.

I remember when people use to whine about "50 beef too much, he diss too much" then when situations like this occur, that's when you wanna see rappers tear blood into each other. Like someone else said at least guys like 50 & Cam didn't let "politics" stand in the way of their diss nor their decision. Meek is a controlled "real" nicca, fool scared to drop his diss song without repercussions. He is the Adrien Broner of rap

Good post, but I don't think it was politics. His skill level is below Drake's and he know that he's already lost.

I think Meek Mill's emotions got the better of him last week and he melted down on twitter saying some shit that he shouldn't have said. Nicki Minaj got that boy fucked up in the head. I still think all of this is because Drake is still hitting the pussy.

Meek painted himself into a corner and can't get out.

NY radio plays the classics also but that's what happens when you're the number 1 and most value market in the nation, the corps are not going to allow you to deviate too much. Did you listen to Kayslay?

It the same as Mcdonalds in Thailand, the Big Mac there is going to have all sorts of shit but if try to pull that is the I.S you will lose your franchise.
