I believe that some rappers as lyrical as they may be just aren't good at battle raps. There's a lot of examples of that, look at Jay-Z and NaS, Jay wasn't the best at crafting diss records (see Super Ugly, Game, Dipset, Jim Jones, etc.) hence part of why he stuck to subliminals. Lil Wayne had a similar situation with Pusha T when he responded with that horrible Ghoulish record. Saigon as well when he responded to Joe Budden, Lil Flip when he responded to T.I. etc. There's artists who just aren't good at battling on wax as they might be lyrically.

Drake simply relayed the better diss track and while Meek's wasn't that bad it wasn't very good either. Had he dropped a scalding hot diss he would have even the tides. He needs to step his bars up as you should in any rap battle. That's primarily why he's losing. Social media would have been divided if Meek simply came wit it. Like another poster said, there's a lot that Meek could have touched on but completely missed SMMFH.

Takeover and Dig A Hole say otherwise about the Jay part..... Don't know too many diss songs crafted better then takeover....also Blueprint 2....safe to say Jay is very well capable of crafting great diss records
