Opening to RAW was funny. Trips was on his troll game, mocking Cena. Cena actually surprised me by not giving such a shitty promo. Liked the back and forth between them. Hopefully they have a good angle between Cena and The Authority.
Kane as the muscle man again, though? Meh, he's not the Kane he once was, his credibility is fucked, he's lost so much to Cena these past few years. Oh well..
Seth vs RVD, was a decent match. I'm glad Ambrose didn't ambush Rollins as he had been doing these past few weeks. The promo >>
They're finally going w Swagger to face Rusev.
I gotta say this, this better be Swaggers W. The crowd is gonna be behind him 100% and he's gonna get way over. Turn h face and have him defeat Rusev. Do not feed him to Cena. Swagger can benefit from this more than Cena can.
Usos/Sheamus vs Wyatt Family - they gotta keep up on building the tag team division, too much of the same ol' matches. They put on a good show but it's getting old.
The handicap-match between Cameron & Naomi vs Nikki Bella, wack match. The breakup needs to happen, never understood the womens tag team in the WWE, it's always been weak. Just leave em as singles and build better storylines around them. They can have the Total Divas shit work as a soap opera but when it comes to the WWE, they have nothing. Seems like BS. Instead of going the Total Divas route, should've used that on WWE TV.
Cesaro vs Kofi, okay match, did Kofi's win air on TV or just the app? I wasn't paying attention and then after that commerical I see Kofi celebrating. If they did it during the commerical and aired it on the app, that's shitty for Kofi. Then, they write in to have Kofi completely destroyed by Cesaro. Whether it's to build up Cesaro to be IC or humiliate Kofi because they don't like him, that shit was weak and wrong. Kofi always gets the fuck you..
Damien Sandow's impersonation of Vince was pretty damn good. His "you're fired" line is a lot better than Stephanie's attempt to be like daddy. Although, I think they're doing Sandow wrong w these characters they have him play, he's done a great job at it and is hilarious. I don't know if it's a punishment for something or they just ain't got shit for him, how they don't is mind-boggling, but hopefully it pays off in the end for him. Jobbing to all these dudes like he does is weak.
The returning superstar is Miz, now, I didn't fuck around and read spoilers this time around, so at this point, I was disappointed. Miz? Really? Really? Even my kids were like, "um, so what if he's back", then he brings out the Hollywood-movie-star-I'm-better-than-you arrogance. If they're gonna go that route, kill that "awesome" entrance music and give him something that suits his Hollywood persona.
But then Jericho comes out. Everyone in the house marked out, wifey included. (and she dislikes wrestling for the most part)
Miz got at him on the mic in a funny fashion. Jericho nails him w the code breaker and we mark out again. Then, the Wyatt's show up and I'm the only one marking out. This is gonna be a good feud. Much respect to Jericho for doing big things in his returns. Just along as he doesn't have to put over Bo Dallas.
So, the rumors I read about Summer Rae being Ziggy's new side-piece was true. It seems like an awkward couple, Summer is much taller but we've seen plenty of the odd couples in the WWE. Hopefully, this doesn't turn into some weak feud between Ziggler and Fandango that plays out over and over on SD! & RAW.
Rybaxel vs the Dust Brothers, overall a boring match, the weakest of the night, yeah, over AJ's return and win. This was a bathroom break for me. Wasn't entertained.
Paige comes out and talks a little. I'm sitting there wondering why she is so hyped. I dislike everything about her; her look, wrestling ability, that scream and her theme song. Then, AJ's music hit, I hate her theme song, but I was hyped to hear it.
The mic work between them sucked. The match could've been better, but I'm glad that AJ is once again Divas Champion. I'm hoping that they can put on a good show at some point.
The main event; Cena&Reigns vs Orton&Kane. An average match. Didn't expect much since they just finished MITB and need to stay healthy for Battleground. Now, for a few min, I let my inner kid forget all about Ambrose and Brock, and was thinking Seth Rollins was actually gonna cash-in, until they prolonged starting the match. Apart of me was disappointed but it would've been the wrong move anyways for Seth to succeed on the cash in, anyways.
Roman Reigns stare down w Trips to end RAW was a good way to end it. I liked what it foreshadows.
This was a solid RAW, 8/10.
