I think New York tried to destroy dipset because they was fucking with all the regions tough and Dipset laid the foundation

for people like Asap Rocky and Smoke Dza , you can even say Nicki Minaj to a degree.

So Asap Rocky ain't take his style from Houston , so Smoke Dza ain't start fucking with Krit and Spitta . So Nicki wasn't fucking with Gucci/Brick Squad then Wayne.

Oh I guess niggas don't remember the beefs with G-Unit,Jay-Z, Tru-Life,Nas etc.

at one time dipset had the whole nation...they was like a nyc version of 90s death row/dogg pound, they had complete songs with perfect beats

i think the beef with jay slowed them down alot cause after rocafella they seemed more indie and didnt get another machine push, then they started beefin with each other which killed their whole vibe, but dipset is the cause of everything goin on in rap today, for better or worse....kanye west garnered alot of his initial interest thru the tracks he did for dipset, ymcmb is basically a dipset clone, even to the clothes styles, dipset was the first crew to put down the 4xl white tees and throwbacks and start dressin weird, and they made it "cool" to be "bloods"....

The ability not to vibe/get along is a national issue. Look at the new boyz nigga who got killed a few years ago....same with that brick squad nigga in atlanta who just got killed last year as well. Not to mention each region has a clash of old and new school niggas have differing opinions.

Dipset and G-Unit killed NYC hiphop by swagger jacking other regions and cultures. Too much of their production was Southern and Westcoast influenced or bitten from Just Blaze and Kanye.

Diplomatic Immunity is still a classic tho.

I actually bought this CD...it was later stolen.

Damn when you put it in perspective, Juelz hasnt had a album come out in damn near 7 years. Nigga aint release music since katrina.

I remember buying the cd several years ago. Bad thing is, on the cd the version of Mic Check is cut short. The video/single version isn't the one on the album, sadly.

2012 and it's a still a dope ass song.
