Here's where I take issue with your reasoning. By saying that it is the right thing to do you're implying that leaving a man (who tried to kill you) for dead is the wrong thing to do. No it isn't, Ricks action was morally dubious at best, incredibly stupid at worst. They had to forgo their own safety to save someone that they don't trust using up precious ammo that may be better served at another time. If the only option was to perform a surgery right then and there then they should have left him there, their was not enough time for that nonsense. Luckily for the guy, pulling his leg off the fence was an option contrary to what Hershel said. By bringing this guy to the camp, they are putting themselves in danger potentially.

I seriously believe tonight's episode was the escape from Wiltshire Estates episode. I don't believe they will visit an actual Wiltshire Estates during this series, so going into "town" is actually the equivalent to what Wiltshire Estates is in the comic.

Rick drove by the buss and shouted for Shane to run to the back of the bus. Rick was shooting at the walkers, while that kid that they had tied up drove to the back of the bus, and Shane ran to the back of the bus, opened the emergency door, and jumped out into the car.

I was wondering why Shane didn't do that in the first place, he should have been fast enough to escape the walkers on foot.

Also, they should have went ahead and let the kid join him. It was kind of obvious that he just joined up with a group of people, just as rick and co joined up with each other, and after those people left him, I doubt he would be willing to go back with him.

Now after how they have treated him, he might actually try to betray them.
