The Vick excuses every year are getting old

there is no vick excuses anymore. once he learns to get rid of the ball and live to fight another down, instead of always looking for the big play, the eagles would be better off. he also might stay healthy for once.

I notice that most blacks like Vick just because of his skin color. My brother has always liked Vick despite being a Raven's fan and even has a Vick jersey.I have never been a Vick fan,but I do want him to succeed since black QBs never get any credit even when they are good.He is not and has never been an elite QB though.D. McNabb has always been better than Vick until this point in time.

Let's is an inclusive word. So are you suggesting sir, that you are in fact currently on vicks dick and would like someone to accompany you as you "hop" off.

Also true, haha. But it's only really an issue if i'm lyin.

I asked for people to name non-elite players, that stay gettin excuses throughout their ENTIRE career. Dude's defense and O-line get blamed in Philly. Receivers are blamed in ATL even though QB's stay puttin up numbers without having good receivers.

Why does Vick get this treatment, and no1 else does? Cutler's situation is worse than Vick's he gets joked. Eli's O-line lets him get hit, half his team is injured, his best receiver is a pre-season star from 2 years ago...people aren't makin excuses for him. Grossman gets hit all game, some defense for him. Same for Alex Smith in SF, Jackson in SEA, Henne in MIA.

Grossman gets some slack cuz of his O-Line, but he still gets shitted on heavy for bad games. Why is Vick so protected?

outside of brady and manning, who "stay puttin up numbers" with bad receivers?

Eli's doin it right now. Fitzpatrick's doin it right now. Rivers did it last year. Kyle Orton did it last year. Josh Freeman did it last year. Jay Cutler even had a decent season last year.

eli numbers is inflated from the last game, we'll see how the rest of the season goes.

fitzpatrick situation is most likely a fluke. he actually gettin worse every game. week 1: 4 TDs no INT, week 2: 3 TDs 1 INT week 3: 2 TDs 2 INTs

kyle orton didnt "put up numbers". 3600 yards and 20 TDs. he had an above average season

josh freeman had mike williams and kellen winslow. those arent bad receivers.

jay cutler had 3200 23 TDs 16 INTs, worse than orton

ill give you phillip rivers.

so thats 3 players. that hardly counts as QBs stay puttin numbers with bad receivers

Whoa. We're countin Mike Williams as a rookie, but not Roddy White as a rookie? Let's be fair with some consistency. Steve Johnson? If he didn't drop a pass in the end-zone vs the Steelers last year no1 would know his name. Nicks is good, but hasn't done shit this year except body the Redskins. Eli lost Steve Smith, Manningham is hurt, Dixon is hurt...he still had a good game against a talented Eagles secondary.

roddy white 29 rec 446 yards 3 TDs rookie year 8 starts

3600 yards and 20 TD's and 9 INT isn't puttin up numbers? Vick's never thrown for 3,600, and only gotten to 20 TD's twice in his career. He only had TD:INT ratio that high once in his career. Only had a higher completion (than Orton's 58.8) once in his career. I'm not sayin he should be in the HOF, but Vick made pro bowls with worse numbers.

You saw what I said to rice n gravy about Mike Williams. Ya'll wanna count him for Freeman, but not Roddy White for Vick. Tryna have ur cake and eat it too. Winslow had 730 yards, 5 TD's last year. Good numbers, but let's not exaggerate.

Cutler's 23 TD's is more than Vick has ever thrown (even in his MVP candidate season). And should I "Vick defense" him too. He got sacked 52 times that season, and had no receivers.

I'm not sayin these guys are beastin, but they're puttin up better numbers than Vick did while he was rackin up Pro-Bowl appearances

vick made the pro bowl for being a more exciting popular player

kellen winslow numbers was good almost elite for a TE if he had a few more TDs

you assuming im sayin vick put up numbers, when actually im sayin the exact opposite because of substandard talent around him, like cutler and orton.

Vick has never been a elite passer...dude only threw for 3000 yards once and only 20 TD twice....has a caeer completion percentage of below 60 for most of his career...

haha forreal? White and Vick in 2005 and 2006 combined 952 yards, 3 TD's.

White the NEXT YEAR with Joey Harrington, Chris Redman, and Leftwich as his QB's 1,202 yards 6 TD's.

mhmm....

So why couldn't he put up their numbers? Similar situations, they put up better numbers, but STILL get less people defending them and making excuses for them. Shit, Orton's season last year they tried to trade him, and fans don't even want him starting. NOT VICK THOUGH!!

No, maybe that has something to do wit the QB. the main reason he gets excuses is because he's black. and if u cant see that then ur blind. cause if Romo an undrafted freeagent is the most bashed QB in the league, and Vick a #1 pick gets excuses left and right. if im an eagles fan i would be ashamed that Vick couldnt finish the game wit a bruised non throwing hand and then whines after the game. shame, shame, shame. and its true wat Bayless says, Vick and his recievers are hardly in a rythm cause he's a sporadic QB. that was also his problem in ATL. plain and simple he's a average QB. niggas let his running ability and rocket arm cloud there judgment.

Philip Rivers last year, when A.Gates went down, and i'm not sure who else out of his receiving core he didnt have to play with.

drew brees i wouldnt consider him playing with great receivers..

and a.rodgers...wasnt some of his receivers out too last year?
