This is what's killing hip hop. A guy actually goes to college, grew up in a good environment and people say he's "embarrassing himself." Meanwhile, all these gangstas--real or not--get passes. What's wrong with going to college? We ought to be celebrating that and saying the gangstas are embarrassing themselves. Crime isn't cool to do.

I guess realism doesn't matter in hip hop. It's all about image and whether people like it or not. As a black college graduate I find myself relating more to the white Asher Roth more than those black rappers who are trying to be ganstas, hustlers, pimps, etc. in their music.
