There's some of these teens that pretend to be hard and listen to Biggie, NWA and 2pac (but know no gangsta rap beyond that) whereas most are some softies that listen to Black Eyed Peas, Soulja Boy, Chris Brown and Flo-Rida.

As for me... I'm currently in my late teens and been listening to gangsta rap since I was 12 but even though I've had a good life in the last decade or so, I've never been from the burbs. Hell, my neighborhood is considered "the ghetto" of the country I reside in and that says something. Always lived middle-class at best but never had to do any crime to make a living. But still, I refuse to listen to that garbage ass friendly radio music cause that's not what I enjoy. Just like an action movie, I'd rather listen to Spice 1 or Geto Boys over Black Eyed Peas or Chris Brown (or whoever else is popular amongst the teenagers of the day) because that's what interests me. I could give a fuck about some piece of shit talking about partying, their love interest, fucking some hoes (but I do like Too Short and 2 Live Crew) or some of that shit...

I'd take that murderous, cannibalistic, necrophiliac psychotic shit over lighthearted radio/party music any time because I also prefer to make people around me confused and scared by my preferences.
