lol its funny how Science fiction continues to warn us about our own demise from different things we do.... yet we still go down that path like nothing...
Robot wars, alien wars, superhuman wars, and etc
The only one who can save us is a One Punch Man that is African.
think about it... in say 200 years with the rapid advancement of robots who is to say robots won't become "self aware" and if they do.. they will start to demand "rights" thus another demographic to deal with.. also what about their "lives" if they become self aware could they then consider themselves "alive"?
I'm not going to get deep on the subject when it comes to other bullshyt we are setting ourselves up for but just remember this... more than half the people in the world don't know shyt about living off the "earth" if anything dramatic happens to technology.. our way of life.. I bet at least 90 percent of the population will die..
More than half of the planet can live off the land. It's not hard to live off the land its quite easy.
do you know how to grow crops? what vegetation is edible or not... lots of people eat things they can't grow in the climate they live in or eat animals not from that particular area.. ask anyone under 60 that lives in a major city when was the last time they fished or do they know how to.. technology and the industrial revolution helps/helped us in many ways... but now literally the world depends on those things to keep us afloat.. anything major happens most won't be able to survive.. think about this... y2k was only 16 years ago... and people were flipping out then... many millinials have no understanding of that.. nor realize how far we have come in that short period of time... people was still on dial up internet then... cell phones were not as popular or advanced as they are now.... social media was nothing then... drones were not commercialized ect.. you think that a 16 year old kid (shyt most city people for that matter) from New York City can survive travel outside the city to regular land and survive off it? shyt if we all lose most technological things.. the cities would implode...
The cities won't implode. RIGHT now people are working on increasing the economic and technological viability of vertical farming which would bring agricultural knowledge into the cities, the cities will export the food not import the food. In the future we will build skyscraper farms and by future i mean the next 20-25 years. The days of living of the "earth" as we know it will soon be over.
If we ever do develop thinking robots then eventually there will be something like the
butlerian jihad if we don't know what that means then i suggest that you read frank herbert's DUNE.
