The Repeal of Net Neutrality

For some reason ever since block buster, there’s a stronger belief in business that if u aren’t growing ur dying. It’s stupid and totally not the reason they and all these other companies went under.

They went under because they believed their own hype and not in innovation. Basically, so many of these companies are ran by idiots surrounded by yes men.

Look people, cable companies do not have to capcity to provide the bandwidth for which it sells. It is very very expensive to have everyone allocated speeds up to and above 500mbps. It’s very very costly

But they aren’t going to tell u that because what u say u can’t do. It won’t stop the next company from lying to u and saying they can.

So these companies seem to be in truce mode. Because the only way they can cost effectively provide everyone with the bandwidth they need to provide reasonable ping time is to have control in directing traffic.

They can’t just give u have a gig step back and say have at it. Even tho it’s what they sell you. They can’t...you been lied to and before it all implodes. Shit like this happens. It’s not as much as an attack on consumer as it is an admission of guilt in lying to consumers.

That attack already came, people were just made to believe the attack was a benefit. When the benefit didn’t truly exist

I don't have a problem with them throttling speeds to 10-20 Mbps when anything faster is unnecessary, shit you only need around 2-3 Mbps for online gaming.(is that gonna stop them pushing 100+ Mbps plans on people?), it's having the ability to block or slow to a snails pace any traffic they dislike that I have issue with.

They would have no need to, say Netflix. Netflix has a lot of traffic. It causes congestion, u get a Netflix server and all traffic is directed through that pipe line to lesson the load on overall traffic.

And that’s in peak times, then the burden isn’t on the company. The burden is on Netflix is either update their equipment to handle the more thorough and efficient load. Or they themselves throttle speeds or block ips that originate from that domain.

And that’s worse case scenario with a company that a lot of people use that service.

The object of the game is subs..if u have the ability to give all subs efficient ping times by controlling traffic effiently. Why ruin that by u urself hindering those subs when u don’t need to?

Yep, they can slow the bandwidth down and make you pay more.

Porn lovers are really going to get hit.

Comcast had a deal with Xbox so yeah they could slow down the online gaming for PS4 servers if they wanted to

Xbox wins again!

Bruh...

So even though the Obama administration created and protected the net neutrality laws...

That are then later repealed during Trump's administration....

It's Obama's fault ?

Do you actually research shit or just blame Obama ? I actually remember when the net neutrality shit kept coming up and kept being upheld by the Obama administration ?

Bruh do your own research on the shit you post before you post it, and stop trying to be so anti-Obama that you keep shooting yourself in the foot.

Trump Jr. Mocked for Blaming Net Neutrality Repeal on 'Obama's FCC' Chair

Thanks, Obama. It seems that Thursday’s vote to repeal net neutrality rules had something to do with the former Democratic president, despite the fact that President Donald Trump picked Ajit Pai to head up the Federal Communications Commission just two days after taking office. At least, that’s what Trump’s son appears to believe.

In a Twitter post on Friday, Donald Trump Jr. criticized people complaining about “Obama’s FCC chairman” voting to repeal what he referred to as net “neutality.” He also “bet most hadn’t heard of it before this week.”

Obama appointed two chairman of the commission under his presidency, neither of which were Pai...

Donald Trump Jr. mistakes Ajit Pai for 'Obama's FCC chairman'

Donald Trump Jr. incorrectly stated Thursday evening that Federal Communications Commission head Ajit Pai was former President Barack Obama's FCC chairman in a tweet attacking the “outrage” over the agency's net neutrality repeal.

...

Pai, who led the agency's vote Thursday to repeal Obama-era net neutrality regulations, was appointed to the commission by Obama in 2012, but it wasn't until this year that he was elevated to chairman by President Trump.

The eldest Trump son, who has a penchant for calling out "fake news," has not issued a correction for the error in this tweet.

Where and when did I "blame" Obama? Y'all kept bringing him up in here to make some type of "point"

Bottom line is this!

Don't bring up Obama if you are not going to blame, criticize or ridicule him, because he didn't do nothing as president and he didn't nothing for black people! He should never get positive credit for anything while he was in office!

That's been my opinion,narrative, disposition....whatever you call it.....for the last 8 years

And it's too later for me to change ...call it pride, ego stubborn....I don't really care

My bad, I must've mistaken that post about Ajit being appointed during Obama's administration as some sort of passive-aggressive blame-shifting of this clear travesty by Trump.

And while I was at it, I might've also mistaken your follow up-post for backtracking on the original one.

I can clearly explain the relevance of Obama to this topic (he defended net neutrality), if you can explain your reason for replying that Pai was appointed during Obama's administration.
