But ur in London.... thats another country you can't speak for the US and u never been here.....

Ok so it was a hood in London which is in Europe but it was still a hood that is predominantly black, the people i was chilling with were young black dudes who are street playing an Eminem CD

So it made me think you guys act like just cos you don't hear people in Bed Stuy or Compton playing Eminem in the car doesn't mean people in American hood's who are black don't listen to him in their home

Incase you forget people do listen to Music in their home!!!!!!!!!

So the point is people have to stick to the fact's and not go by their opinion in your hood you don't even know 1% of the population so you do not know if they listen to Eminem or not you just sterotyping

how many hoods in america have you been to and seen people bumpin eminem? i got a homeboy in the pen who loved eminem so i wont say it's absoulute truth people like what they like but you cant put a hood stamp on eminem, he aint rappin about hustlin, he doesn't have a hood mentality, not saying people don't respect his craft. as far as hustlers in the hood you wont catch too many of them in the mix bumpin eminem, now at home who knows people listen to whatever but you can't label eminem a hood rapper.

it don't matter you coulda been in a hood in iraq with the taliban t-unit listenin to eminem, it still doesn't represent every hood, especially here in america. eminem is for shock value he aint droppin no science, no street knowledge , no hood perspective, none of that.

Eminem makes records about growing up in poverty in Detroit, family problems, being a parent, relationship with his ex wife, drug addiction and so on

He makes conscious records about politics too as well as hood and street perspective records about his troubles with the law especially for that Gun case he caught

As far as making records about poverty Eminem talks about what it's like to live in Inner City Detroit, with out a father working a minimum wage job to feed his daughter while his mother was a drug addict who was on welfare

If you from the hood you know how many people relate to records like

If I Had

Rock Bottom

Lose Yourself

8 Mile Road

Then you have a record like Soldier which is a 100% street but based on a true story and real life experience where he caught a case and probation for pistol whipping a bouncer

Now dude if you never grew up in the Inner City in a dangerous city like Detroit in public housing with a daughter to feed, no father aroundwith a mother on drug's and welfare working minimum wage you can never understand Eminem's records about that only people from the hood who experienced can relate to those records

Also if you never been in trouble with the law you can't relate to his records about catching a case

It's that simple to understand Eminem you gotta have grown up poor in a hood in Detroit like Dresden Street, 8 Mile, Chalmers Street with struggles that come with the hood like having no father around, family members who are drug users, having a child at a young age etc

If you are a human and you never been cheated on in a relationship thank God cos most people have so my point is it depends on what kinda life you had to relate to Eminem

I actually am trying to prove a point cos it's not like i went to a black dudes house in the hood out here with my collection of Eminem CD's and said listen i'll fuck you if you play this lmao

When he played the Slim Shady LP i was surprised but happy cos it proves people like to talk with out knowing the fact's

It's wasn't a rich person who lives in a suburb it was a dude that has no job and hustles and has been prison before

just stop it, i know i can't change your opinion but trust me eminem doesn't rap about hustlin, the victum perspective he has doesn't rock wit niggaz in the hood just keepin it real. when he first came on the scene it was more or less an oddity to see a white dude who can rap like that the way he put words together and the shock value of the things he was saying had never been seen before, now he's like a one trick pony, the circus is over, we all seen his act he doesn't have any experiance grindin it out, true he may have grown up poor and for some people they can relate to his story with drugs and poverty but he is not a hustler.

And why should he Rap about hustling when he never hustled drug's? if he did that it would be fake but no Eminem Rap's about his life experiences of poverty, being a parent, coming from a broken home, catching a Gun case, political opression etc

Nas never hustled drug's and talks about poverty, growing up with out a father etc too

So i respect Eminem for actually talking about his life experiences he was a drug addict himself not a hustler

Not everyone in the hood hustles but everyone in the hood grows up in poverty, some grow up with a mother on drug's, with no father, being a parent at a young age and having a wife who cheats so those people relate to Eminem cos he talks about real life experiences he actually makes deep records with emotion unlike many other Artists

and by the way i just wanna say one thing certain hood's in London are actually more dangerous then American hood's for example crime in London now is much worst than crime in New York

Secondly Gun's are not legal here but Gun crime in London is very high

All i can say is no one from the IC is coming to Harlesden, Brixton, Peckham, Tottenham etc lol and that is a fact

but your point is stupid and childish. and a lil racist too. what makes you think that black people in the hood wont even listen to eminems album even once?? when you ask " does the hood BUMP eminem"?? the answer is no LOL .... im from the hood and i have a few of eminems cd's ... once in a blue moon when i dont feel like hearing the stuff i usually rock ill throw em in. especially if there are white girls at my house for some reason lol. i know some eminem lyrics and everything. BUT I DO NOT BUMP EMINEM THE WAY I BUMP "where im from" by jay z or ante up by m.o.p. or the message by nas etc. THERE'S A BIG DIFFERENCE

no amount of people that are worth it to make an argument just pop in an eminem cd and rock out. it just is simply not common. its nothing against eminem. his fan base is 70 percent cool ass white boys, 25 percent white girls, and 5 percent hip hop/rap listeners (people who can just appreciate creative music)

do you realize that many people in the hood are checking for cats like gucci man and wack flocka, lil wayne etc?? the hood or street life doesnt really shine thru in eminems music, so its understandable that the hood is not checkin for him. it isnt even his target audience anyway LOL

You talking about the hoods of the UK where they do this. I know I speak on things I dont know about but come on. A guy playing an Eminem CD who happens to live the hood isn't proving shit.

It's just i made this thread cos it's cringe worthy to see people on the IC say people don't listen to Eminem but you assuming it's not a fact when you say it cos like i said you don't know what people listen to in their home or on their I-Pod

I've never heard anyone in my life that i know who is black predominantly poor and from a lower income neighbourhood out here ever i swear to God listen to Scarface

But you guys on the Ic love Scarface but do i go around making threads saying no one in the blocks out here play's Scarface? no cos i don't know what they listen to in their home

I been to clubs and i know Scarface never will get played in clubs but i am intelligent enough to know Scarface doesn't make club bangers

i didn't say he should rap about hustlin or everyone in the hood hustles.

my point is , you are trying to attatch him to the "trap" or real people who sell drugs in a violent area of wherever you where.

and i believe they was listenin to eminem so i'm with you on that , but you can't put a hood label or a hustler label on him.

not every rapper people listen to in the "hood" raps about hustlin but they at least have some street knowledge.

eminem aint rappin about nothing but being a victum his rise was due to the fact that he was a white boy who could really spit, and thats good.

i'm not saying he doesn't have a fan-base because you are proving that, but he's not what your average hood cat is knockin these days. just face it.

It is cos how many people have said on the IC more then once like Neva Change for example that people in the hood don't listen to Eminem people said this not once or twice but they actually keep saying it on here
