On the real though, if you aren't actively speaking with managers, labels, and booking shows, what's the point of saying I am rapper while posting on message boards and youtube. Get real? It's all about a little bit of attention and a pipe dream that some how some way your shit will go viral. If, you aint hitting the streets and actively rubbing elbows it's a wrap. I totally get doing the shit for fun though. I am a little older and coming up that's all we did. Breaking, Djing, Rhyming and all that shit but it really was just for fun. This internet and fast food artistry really got mafuccas thinking they are going to blow off of some play, play shit.

for real tho, if u pay for rap clases u a sucker.

man what you think of this

I cultivate profound philosophies

now i'm writing these

self fulfilling prophecies

I hold the keys

to things more precious

you only have to open your eyes to see the evidence

this not about being hot or the most revelent

I'm at precipice

of something that you'll never get

a vision is about to unfold

you can play this a thousand times and never deciphered the code

this is an ode

to my higher aspirations

my crosshairs aimed at the constellations

exploring uncharted destintations

reporting live from an undisclosed location

no overinflated mentors or crooked label situations

cheers to my emanicipatition

ayo,
real spit

i think there should be rap classes

that is really the underlying problem

anyone thinks they can jus get up and do it. no poetic skill. no musical skill.
jus pick a beat and start TALKING and every now and again it rhymes,,,naw,,, it shouldnt be that way

Pro Bono lawyers can get paid whenever they feel like it and if you look at the numbers most Culinary arts students do end up in these very places. Granted many make an ok living but most don't have 5 star restaurants charging $100 a plate.

sometimes i think its best not to rub elbows with those in your market

you could live in a crab ass market.
might need to get away.
might end up gettin signed to a label round the way,the take 100% ownership, mishandle you first 3 albums and wont let you go anywhere

Classes? Really!! None of the Best MC's took classes. They simple wrote, spoke and Rhymed to their own drum. The problem is, to many mafuccas are looking to blow so, they just end up biting someone else.

no no no
you got me wrong
im jus lazy posting,

takin classes doesnt make someone a better rapper, but it can

back in the day it was a litmus test,a bar exam, some kind of trials to make it thru

you rhymed at parties, in hallways,in cyphers at roller rinks, stood outside label offices,
all types of shit to show & prove

now what do you have to prove???
nothin.

You don't have to rub elbows with those in your Market but you certainly have to rub elbows with those in your field. Indeed, anything is possible but good business sense and not being a desperate soul will take care of getting got. To many chumps are looking to blow so, they'll jump at anything out of desperation.

Indeed. This is what's missing and this is what I mean by hitting the streets. Back in the day you had to go, to some whole in the wall club and win the crowd over. This was definitely a way to hone your skill. You'd have the chance to test out your rhymes, and perfect your stage show. In other words you had to experience real life failure not just some screen name telling your shit is whack and then retort with "hater". Shit you might even get your ass beat down if, you nice and taking the out of town girlies. LMAO

beat me to it fam

now when i see teenagers "freestyle" togther its damn near a mockery.
the usually jus goin on about how they dont take this shit serious
and
they dont ev en try to outdo each other

jus tryna name more chix they banged in a verse or talk about how many guns they held

i member jus 2001 when i was a freshman in high school at the lunch table we still cared (maybe it was jus chicago,or my school)
i mean,if you had a bad verse at lunch you was gonna get mocked for the rest of the day
and clowned on the way home

we all took art as an elective jus cuz we knew we had time to write rhymes in that class

i dont even think kids give a fuck like that anymore.and that was jus 10 years ago

rofl @ being desperate and jumpin at anything
i think thats what makes up a big portion of entertainers

i was jus bout to cave in and call the label my step brother is signed to and try to get some promo there

but then i thought about it

"he been rollin wit them for bout 3 years now. still outside the flea market doin bad. dont even know when his shows are or how much he get paid'

so i check the website
shit looks unofficial and at the top it says " NOW ACCEPTING INVESTORS"

Then i check dates. the last thing officially marked for the label was like in november
,,,,,,,,,,,,

naw,
im better off investing in myself and doin my own leg work
