What does that shit even mean? There's a place for all types of subgenres within the Hip-Hop umbrella.

But banter like that is simply a cop out so that your choice in Hip-Hop does not have to be graded on the same scale as everything else.

This is all while you simultaneously want to your opinion on the genre as a whole to be respected.

If your choice in shit is not being graded on the same scale as everything else, then what exactly is there to debate in a thread?

Your opinion is based solely off of nonobjective feelings, as I mentioned before.

And when this is the case, it takes literally three words to kill all conversation in a thread.

"I like it." Or "I hate it." /thread. No context. Nothing to debate. Just feelings.

But i honestly in my life no word of a lie have never seen Nas or Jay Z get played in my life in public. People doubted wen i said Em gets a lotta play in London hoods but even wen i proved it with videos backed that up people still hated because i proved dem wrong

Also Shady you're inconsistent. On one hand Jay Z sucks because he relies on people to do his hooks, but you give Tupac and Styles P a pass because they make up for it with good lyrics and "emotion".

That's because i do think 2pac and Styles P make up for not being able to do hooks with their verses while to me Jay Z doesn't. 2pac and Styles P are deep rappers while Jay Z is a Mafaisio/drug dealer rapper

My problem with Jay Z besides him not being able to craft hooks and relying on RnB singers is his content as well he lacks substance while Pac and Styles P as i said are deep and i can relate to their music. Jay Z also uses Punchlines and Triple Entrendes which i find boring. While Pac and Styles P don't use Punchlines or Triple Entrendes

Pac and Styles P come under the deep style of Hip Hop i like that Eminem, Z-Ro, Lil Boosie, DMX, Kid Cudi, Devin The Dude etc make music u can relate to so i am consistant in that Pac and Styles are still deep like those only difference is they can't craft their own hooks

I don't think Jay Z can make good songs there isn't a song of his i enjoy at all my issue with him is i don't think he can write decent songs. But that doesn't mean i haven't admitted wat he is good at which is Flow, Punchlines, Triple Entrendes.

This is more of your inconsistencies right there. Styles P is known to talk street shit in his music. Tupac has talked street shit in his music. Just say you don't fuck with Jay and call it a day. Better that than constantly contradicting yourself.

Real talk goes back to my original point about lack of diversity in the reason for the most part people like rappidy rappers on the IC nothing wrong with liking that style if u do find it appealing but it gets boring wen people have no diversity

Artistic rap artists who can sing, do more than rap, deeper rappers, rappers that are more musical get no love on the IC for example

And people on the IC make it seem like u have to like Nas or Royce just because they like them or like the style of rap they make.

People listen to rap for different reasons people like me listen to it for the message, depth, emotion being able to relate to the music and the music helping u get through hardships and personal struggles. Listen to it for the song writting basically.

While most on the IC listen to rap for the technicality, how much words a rapper can rhyme for the sake of it, simple boom bap beats, flow, punchlines. But people have to realize not everyone likes that style of rap or the rappers most on the IC love and praise

Can you imagine Juice Crew or Rakim being dismissed as rapping ass niggas cause they focused on the rhymes and gave a fuck about a hook or beat.

Flow/hooks over content/technical proficiency.
