give me some shit that niggas will be quoting 20 years from now on this album. give me a verse that makes me want to stop my life for a day to hear it over and over. real classic albums have that effect. his album was nothing like that. disposable rap music.

But you're biased against Jay-Z & anything Jay-Z related tho so......
Why should what you say matter?

eat crow how ........... the album is really lackluster if you compare that to his last two mixtapes, he didn't really try to push the envelope creatively , he didn't make any super memorable records, he just kinda coasted but yall like him so i guess its okay

but that's YOUR opinion, not everyone else's

I agree that's it's not as good as his last two mixtapes......but lackluster? I'll just agree to disagree

BTW, comparing a project to something better doesn't make it lackluster.

That's like saying "Scarface is lackluster if you compare him to Nas"

see how flawed that is?

J.Cole's Cole World: Sideline Story now has 135k in pre-orders for the first week.

Again my prediction - 194k in the first week.

thats it? wayne just sold 1 million the first week. good to see roc nation accepting the fact that the will never be on the same level as YMCMB.

bullshit. yall suck jay z dick all day about him being a hustler and pushing records. no excuse. the purpose of signing to a label and building a fanbase like usdrunkdriv3r scream about is to sell records. how is cole signed to a socalled powerful mogul but yet only sells 20% of what wayne sold in 1 week. that Bronald think tank shitting all over Jay Z ceo skills. all that hype and dude dont even crack 200k. FLOP. birdman about to sell a million more of them things in october with drake. roc nation looking flabby and sick right now. no kind of artists or dope music

Really bruh? So a handful of wack punchlines and a a few subpar songs take away from tracks like "Dollar and a dream 3", "Lights Please", "Sideline Story", "Lost Ones", "Rise & Shine", "Never Told" "Rise & Shine", "God's Gift" and "Breakdown"?

The good outweighs the bad on this album IMO. It's a solid album. 4/5

not just wack punchlines, none the songs were memorable, the album don't have replay value if you put it up against a 4/5 album from a couple years ago it would lose in a head to head so think about any 4/5 album that you rated from a year ago and compare it to this album and i bet you if your honest the album you selected would be better song for song , replay value etc etc than this one

only thing i can say is niggas hate success. when someone is doing well there is always a group of people there to break him done. imo the nigga Cole is winning, fck a top 40 single. he has a good, solid album especially for a debut. thats realy the problem nowadays is that everything is about a single. i don't want an album full of singles.

dude....you're giving YOUR opinion. It doesn't have replay value for YOU.....if YOU put up against other 4/5 albums it would lose.

that's the problem a lot of posters have on this board......they don't realize that music is subjective. They state their opinions as if they're facts.
