I my friend TOTALLY co-sign this thread. Wu is easily one of the best groups to EVER do it. Then if that wasn't enough they break off and make bangin ass solo albums. There will NEVER be a line up of rappers that can flat out kill tracks like these guys can. 36 Chambers, Wu-Tang Forever, OBFCL, Ironman, Supreme Clientle, Bulletproof Wallets (Ghost had a nice run lol) Liquid Swords, Bobby Digital are all CLASSICS!!!!! I know a lot won't agree but have no problem standing by what i just said!!!!!

For me Outkast is, cuz when they came out in the 90's before them all i was hearing was Pac, Biggie, R&B songs and local rappers. Mainly cuz i was still real young..

And they turn me on to a whole different type of music.. and plus they kept it goin they whole careers, They GOAT in my eyes, plus they music was better..

Wu Tang Influence me the most because I always love their Criminal lyrics and the psychopath lyrics they had. 4 Real.....Wu Tang was a family back in the days. They robbed people together, they robbed rappers, they did everything together. It was like my own gang in the hood. We use to rob people around here...... Lol......

I always had a criminal mind and who I am. I fucking relate to Ghostface Killah lyrics when he said the Champunch Mase in the face. Do you feel me? I fucking love that shit. Thats what I did when I was younger.

WU TANG IS THE REALEST GROUP EVER

100 my dude. Wu really brought that Project life style to the forefront but at the same time was telling and showing brothers\sisters how to get out. The biggest thing that drew me to the WU was the brotherhood and how heads could come together and everyone get a piece.

exactly fam, you know this, they showed that human being brotherhood, but were still about that money, they showed real niggas that there is a way out, you get me

Legends? Yes

One of the best groups in Hip Hop? Yes

The most revolutionary group in Hip Hop History? NO, this whole thread just added ammo to those that listed the Wu as the most overrated group in Hip Hop. Public Enemy and NWA were way more revolutionary. There's also a couple of other groups that have been as revolutionary as the Wu, if not more.

Yeah don't know how anybody can argue Wu's impact. Funniest story thats shows you how real dudes was :

Tru Life ran up in the studio while Mobb Deep and GZa was in there Tru and his boys made everybody strip and run they stuf and Gza was the only one in the room that didn't get stuck dudes didn't even try to rob that brotha.

That doesn't make them nice tho their music speaks for itself. Them and PE are the only true movements in Hip-Hop everybody else is just immitating.

NWA wasn't really that revolutionary they just get the credit Ice-T, Skolly D and Just Ice was on some Gangsta stuff before NWA were.

And Rakim, Slick Rick and Kool G. Rap weren't on some of the stuff the Wu was rappin' about and doing. Yes there were people doing what NWA did before them, but it took Straight Outta Compton before the world took notice. This was a group that was feared and/or respected by not only other rappers, but America period. They had politicians wanting to put a ban on their songs. NWA is the root to a lot of other different groups and movements within Hip Hop.

Yeah Wu was inspired by Rakim and G rap but they took take and evoled and added more onto it, NWA was gangsta thats their claim to fame and only two of them dudes wrote their own lyrics. Ad what rappers was scared of NWA everyone of them dudes except for Ren has been publicly Sonned or beat up and/or robbed. I do love NWA tho No Hate
