Lyrically, AZ doesn't hold a candle to neither. Flow and rhyme schemes are AZ's strengths as a rapper. Talib Kweli can do a song that showcase his skill as an MC like "Rush", a conscious song like "Get By" and then something clubby like "Put It In The Air". Lyrically, AZ doesn't have that kind of range. Mos Def's Black On Both Sides is lyrically better than anything AZ has put together in his entire career.
