Imagine AZ having army of producers and machine Biggie and Jay had behind them, then how would his albums sound. Even with lesser money , he created one of the strongest catalogues in hip-hop. AZ is way better lyricist, but except Doe or Die he has nothing that could compete with best Biggie and Jay releases.

The only thing AZ has over either of them is rhyme scheme, but that's where it stops. Lyrically, AZ is nowhere near as versatile. Biggie only had two albums, but there's more range within just those two albums than most anything AZ has done in his career. Biggie and Jay both had well executed conceptual songs, storytelling tracks, introspective songs etc. while AZ stayed inside the same box his whole career. AZiatic is quite possibly the most growth AZ showed lyrically i.e. "Fanmail", "Paradise", and "Wanna Be There". It's also the most range that he's shown lyrically on one album.
As much as I like AZ's music, I can't even put him over Talib Kweli or Mos Def.
