Kanye and Jay-z have a real fanbase, Drake and Nicki have dickriders who go from one hot rapper to another. These same niggas was on Ja, Nelly,Lil Jon,etc dick 5-10 years ago, pop fan bases are fleeting.

id probably believe you if i hadnt actually met Drake and Nicki fans on and off this site, them niggas are more than just the casual fans Nelly an Jon had,lol them niggas are die hard belive me, 5 years ago if Nelly put out a wack song fan or not the nigga would still say "im a fan but that song was garbage". you dont see that shit with Drake Nicki or Wayne, them niggas would defend them till the death.

I think individual/crew movements are a vital part of this rap shit to develop competition and better music. I agree with that statement.But this is an effective way to get put on and exposure for those looking foward the peoples favorite artist but it not like this just started. Flavor in Your Ear remix and plenty of other mixes in the pass used the same idea.

There is a balance... Ppl seem to forget about that. Either you love something or Hate it what about just letting it be? PPL can collab but when it benefits the music not just for the sake of dickriding... But still focus on you..

Now see this i agree with. These people collab for the MUSIC!!!!!! They have done a few collabo its not like we have seen a Drake/Jay-Z album or a Diddy/Nicki album. Face it they are hot right now and rappers ALWAYS collab with whats hot at the moment. Thats been a staple for years.

If it's all for the love of collaboing, go outside the box or norm, and holler at some of these mfs like KRIT, Kendrick Lamar,etc. Someone who ain't have all the bandwagoners on their dick yet!

so Drake and Nikki arent considered young up and coming creative artists?....and if their jumping on whoever is hot as you claim....why would they wanna work with some cat names KRIT or Kendrick Lamar if they aren't even hot let alone on Jay's or Diddy's radar period?.....i see what your complaining about but it seems a lil misleading like these guys are not only hoppin on records with Drake and Nikki they're shoutin em out in EVERY interview, or biggin them up everytime someone shoves a mic in thier face....maybe just maybe....these guys just like working together making music as well as money.....can it just be that simple?

If a record label makes a certain amount of money out of an artist than how much would a rapper get paid if they are signed to 2 or 3 labels and have there own??

The most recent would be the Universal-->Cash Money-->Young Money-->Nappyboy which T-Pain's signing would go under. the dude isnt making THAT much money so how is it worth it being under 3 labels and having his own?? (who knows if he is still signed to Akon aswell :L)

At least 50 Cent's situation of being under Interscope-->Aftermath-->Shady-->G-Unit made sense since at the time he was making heaps of money but if he goes to Def Jam that would fuk everything up.

as far as i know T-Pain's label was under Konvict aswell so if he leaves Akon i think his label will go onto YM aswell.

Probably makes sense since Tyga and Travie McCoy are cousins and Shawnna is prob the only female rapper that Nikki aint beffing with atm :L

It depends. Is it a management deal? A joint venture (50/50) a 360 deal. Or a publishing deal. Akon is caked up so maybe he will let him go. He got gaga anyways. If he got that many hands in his money whats the point? Creative control is usually enough.Hope he got a good lawyer.
