I wouldn't go as far as to say you fucked it up...she could still respond to the message, and it's more of a learning experience. Just know that if you weren't jumping on top of it immediately you weren't sure if you wanted it to begin with (for whatever reason..ie. didn't think she was cute enough, I think in your case you were worried it would impact your job potential).....therefore it isn't too big a loss.
Just a learning experience...everyone goes through it...rather go through it now, than when someone you REALLY want to be with comes along and shows interest. When that moment happens you better reciprocate it...even if you feel you're busy as fuck and don't have time. 1. I wasn't quite sure if she was feeling me or she was just being nice...never really had a situation with an older woman like this before
2. Was at my internship so I was trying to keep it professional until I found out if they would hire me or not.
But I'm looking at it as a positive learning experience.
