AJs WWE career has been nothing but a fantasy dream come true.

happy for him and really makes me smh at sting wwe run

Honestly Stings WWE run looked like it was going to be some whag promising, I think WWE had more there for him to get the moments he needed but it was cut short for obvious reasons.

And people need to stop saying that Vince wanted to "bury" wcw once and for all.

when it was triple h the fued with string was for no reason but for triple h to get a win over a goat of wcw just for his braggin rights

JBL is gonna be off wwe tv

Confirmed or nah

my "prediction".. too much attention from crowds n now ppl outside wwe

I just read that it might not be the JBL thing that's causing what's going on. Apparently they are saying WWE doesn't like his announcing style and that he is having trouble adjusting to all the protocols that come with it.

i responded to this post thinking you was talking about JBL. i just realized you was talking about Mauro

I'll take this L

Jim Cornett recently opened up about his thoughts on the subject in a recent episode The Cornette Experience. On his podcast, the podcast the pro wrestling legend opened up on the topic and wondered how it got so far in the first place.

“I just don’t understand how it got this far or got to this level without somebody intervening,” Cornette said. “You know, bless Mauro… if you take a guy over in the corner and say, ‘look you may not know it, but I’m getting pissed cause you’re f—— with me and it’s not cool and we’re gonna have a situation.”

“Now in the old day that would have meant that Mauro’s probably gonna get the s— kicked out of him. Because there would have been no other recourse because no one was gonna whip Bradshaw […] But today with the litigious society that we have. Bradshaw’s got a lot of money and he’s not gonna wanna get sued for beatin’ up Mauro Ranallo.”

“Did Mauro ever tell him, ‘Bradshaw this is bothering me — stop it.’ Or did he say, ‘Bradshaw this is bothering me — stop it and I can’t whip ya so elsewise I’m gonna have to take a baseball bat to your f—– kneecap?'”

Jim Cornette then opened up about a time when Shawn Michaels was being a little abusive to him so Cornette had to take the same tactic of threatening.

“I remember the time Shawn Micheals yelled at me and Jose Lothario in Anaheim in the locker room” Cornette continued, “cause our little fight between the two managers took the tension away from him and Vader he thought. And instead of taking us over in the corner, he yelled at us. Not only me, but Jose — the guy who trained him right out in front of the boys. So I went and told Jack Lanza, I said: ‘Look here, next time he talks to me that way in front of the boys you’re gonna have a three-foot-tall f—— WWF Champion cause I’m gonna f—— take a baseball bat and I’m gonna f—— kneecap him.'”

Jim Cornette goes on to question how JBL caused Mauro Ranallo to leave a “six-figure-a-year job” over this situation. Cornette obviously works under an old school logic, and he’s a treasure. But reports are coming out it was the fact that JBL said what he said on a WWE Network television program at the permission of his and Mauro Ranallo’s own employers.

Mauro Ranallo might have felt ganged up on and out of place. It’s no wonder how this could further exacerbate a previously diagnosed mental condition like bipolar disorder. We wish Mauro Ranallo didn’t have to leave. But, as time goes on those in the wrestling business keeps churning out stories to confirm that the nature of hazing isn’t just alive and well in certain circles, but it outright amuses management.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T will be joining Michael Cole and Corey Graves at the broadcast table on Monday nights for the next 6 weeks. Booker T will be filling in for David Otunga, who is out filming a movie until late May.

Otunga was ‘traded’ to RAW this past week during the Superstar Shake-Up in exchange for Byron Saxton, who joins the SmackDown Live team next week.

Booker T had a stint as a WWE RAW announcer back in 2015 before moving to SmackDown for the remainder of the year. Since SmackDown moved to the USA Network last year, Booker T has been a regular on WWE’s kickoff-show panels.

As noted on Thursday, David Otunga will star in the new film “Katrina” and it is set in 2005 New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. Otunga will play the role of edgy DEA Agent James “World” Lawson.

According to Sportkeeda, following last week’s WWE Superstar Shakeup, current plans for the WWE Women’s division are to be centered around Sasha Banks heading into the summer.

Bayley successfully defended her WWE Raw women’s title against Charlotte, Sasha Banks and Nia Jax in a fatal four-way elimination match, however Charlotte Flair moved to Smackdown in the Superstar Shakeup in exchange for Alexa Bliss and Mickie James.

The current plan is for Sasha Banks to turn heel on Bayley over the summer and then win the Raw Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. In the meantime, Bayley is set to successfully defend her title in feuds with Alexa Bliss and Nia Jax.

As seen on WWE Raw, Emma has also made her TV return to the brand, and she is currently scheduled to begin a feud with Sasha Banks which might also involve Dana Brooke.

Mauro Ranallo returns to MMA announcing, joins Frank Shamrock for Rizin FF 5

MMAjunkie Staff

Fight fans who tune in to “Rizin FF 5: Sakura” this weekend will hear a familiar MMA broadcasting combo.

It was announced Friday that veteran MMA announcer Mauro Ranallo and MMA pioneer Frank Shamrock will call the action for the promotion’s PPV, which takes place Sunday at Yokohama Arena in Japan and streams live (2 a.m. ET/11 p.m. PT) on FITE TV.

Ranallo and Shamrock are no strangers to each other as they regularly called Strikeforce events together on Showtime until the promotion’s acquisition and eventual merger by the UFC in 2013.

Ranallo, who started his broadcasting career in pro wrestling in 1999, returned to his roots when he became the voice of New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2015. In January 2016, Ranallo signed with WWE and served as the lead play-by-play announcer for the company’s “Smackdown Live” show. Ranallo was a hit with wrestling fans as he was named “Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s” best announcer for the second straight year.

However, his time with WWE recently came to an abrupt and controversial end. Although details are scarce, it’s been reported that former wrestler and current Smackdown announcer John Bradshaw Layfield, better know by his wrestling name JBL, took umbrage with Ranallo’s recognition. That allegedly resulted in Ranallo, who has been open about his past mental health issues, being bullied by JBL, which led to Ranallo’s abrupt departure from WWE.

“I believe it’s destiny that I find myself back in Japan at this time,” Ranallo said in a statement, “and I can’t wait to call the action in front of the sport’s most knowledgeable audience.”
