Pusha T on We Got It For Cheap: "Im the best since he died and he lied"
Always took this one as a reference to Big and shot to Jay. I heard people saying it really was against Pac but that dont seem to make sense
I don't see how that would be against Pac either. But "the best since he died" part was obviously toward Big.
PUSHA T @PUSHA_T
BIG, I channeled u for some of my best work to date...Hell Hath No Fury. Thanx for the inspiration. #stillthebestever
...and the "he lied" part sounds like it was toward Wayne. Since Wayne said "I'm the best rapper alive since the best rapper retired" around 2005. And Pusha and Wayne had beef since 2006, with a brief period of reconciliation when Wayne was released from Rikers.

Never really knew who this was directed at until I saw Prodigy talking about how he instantly knew that this was about him and Nas
Yeah, Mobb Deep put out a song called Trife Life in 95 which had Prodigy rolling deep in Bed-Stuy with pistols ready for drama in the song. Jay took offense to that and put out Where I'm From. The video for Where I'm From parodies the video for Shook Ones Pt 2.

"a couple of yall aint took a field trip to the hood
ay me I'm fresh prince I'm will smith to the hood Baby!
aint sayin names but we not the same
all that money and the fame dont change the fact that u lame"
I know he had a song with Drake during that time but this really couldnt have been anyone else but him
Those the first that came to mind Imma come back with some more....What yall got
There were J. Cole and Drake comparisons back in 2009, but Who Dat came out in April/May 2009. Drake and Cole didn't collab until fall of 2010.
...I thought It was a diss when it came out.
