Cat's that define an album by sales..

Mastermind>>nikki last album, Wayne's last album...Jay's last album...J.Cole album...Macklomore's album...and all them sold more..lol....none them albums had any soul feeling to them..(maybe a lil from J.Cole)

Are any one of those albums seeing Mastermind Lol...

So we going by numbers or quality to define Ross abilities lol

Jay don't drop albums every year any more same drake and Kanye. Nas don't sell past 200k. Last nicki album only sold like 200k

That's what I was getting at....if you taking out those 5 or 6 rappers then I guess your right kdot and wayne are the only ones that will probably do big numbers this year

Whose selling more then him tho

school boy Q

Had an 87 percent drop his second week.

Did tde buy his album?

He had hype, album wasnt as good as everybody expected it to be. Thats what happens, the word goes around whether good or bad.

schoolboy q is the new thing/hot rapper at the moment so i expected him to sale more than ross....hell u can see that from the views/replies here and all over the internet.

the problem with mastermind was that even tho its a great album (better than any album in 2013)...what seperates it from gfid, teflon don, rich forever, etc.? i wanted somethin different from ross this time...but when you put out 'war ready' as your first single...than its more of the same. i would've started off with paradise lost as my first single and then in vien.

Ppl sometimes put too much emphasis on first week numbers sales isn't a sprint it's a marathon....

Cosign Plenty of albums have sold under 100,000 copies in their first week and went on to do gold and platinum .

Basically he raps about the same damn thing every album but, over a different beat.

Every song he is a Boss, a Drug Kingpin, a Ladies Man and he always gotta talk about food shit is getting played out just like Birdman rapping about every gawd damn car he got or how much jewelry he has or how much money he got or how much he is a stunna.

Rozay got some nice songs on this album .If having a number 1 album in the United states of America is consider "falling off" then shit I think a lot rappers would like to fall off.

And Pharrell had that monster single "Happy" and only did 77,000 in his first week with GIRL.

Ross don't have a history of steady sales post release though

Sales isn't the end all be all anymore and y'all know that.

As long as Ross is putting or music he ain't going nowhere.

Its hard to vanish in this landscape.

Oh and CyHi's BHP >>>>> Mastermind since someone said it was the hottest shit out.

No fux given that its a"mixtape" either. That's also not a knock its just better imo shrugs

But is rick ross any less relevant then last year? Nope

Exactly. Sales don't equal relevancyI 2014. Whoever brought up pharell gave perfect example. Dude has like 100 million+ views on that happy joint and it's one of If not the biggest song out. He didn't even push 100k...

Tour money is where it is at. He could do 100 concerts a year, and rake in 10s of mill $$$. Fans won't buy a cd, but even haters go see a concert lmao.
