lol@ ross being the game of the south, still paying taxes to the real nigga that put him on. slip n slide >>>>>>>>>>>triple cs and mmg

No one's on Slip N Slide anymore. Trick and Trina left, on bad terms with Ted Lucas.

but ted owns all of ross' pub

My TL is blowing up:

How the hell is bruh bruh making the Forbes list every year if all his publishing is owned by Ted?

HipHop Forbes List

2009 = Ross (6-Million)

2010 = Ross ( 5-Million)

2011 = Ross (6-Million)

4 Blunts lit at Once publishing better be giving that Black entrepanuer a check or B.M.I ain't doing it's job and somebody ain't got they facts straight.

To be fair - today, most artists make their money OUTSIDE of music. If Ted owns his publishing, we wouldn't be able to properly tally up how much that generates in 3 years as it takes time for those things to accumulate properly. Unless we talkin Jay-Z, Eminem, Nas - cats with a lot of albums and have been in the game for ages then you'd have a point.

Ross made all that money from endorsements and touring not from Music/CD sales. If CD sales still paid the bills Ross would be broke.....

I see my post went over your head. I should have put "Sarcasm" quotes around it.

You can simply go to the B.M.I website like my brother already did to see who owns publishing and if an artist publishing company is on all his songs and albums in addition to his former label then why would anyone be ignorant enough to say that ALL the publishing is going to one person? Does that make sense to you?

I'm Happy these Black entrepanuers and Black businessmen have learned that you don't need to sell a million records in order to make a million dollars.

My Apologies for an album discussion (GFID) turning into a discussion about publishing but everybody has their specific interests of discussion.

This a Justice Leauge Vid from about a year ago off Producers T.V. were they talk about their production style and how they come up with their sounds.

every artist is required to register his/her own publishing company because thats the only way to get paid. Just because they are registered as one name doesnt mean that they own all of their pub. if you look up jadakiss he has a publishing name too, but diddy owns a lot of the payout. the name doesnt mean anything its whats in the contracts. look up chamillionaire or eminem's pub they have their own names, but universal owns some of their pub.

I never said "one name means that they own all their Pub".

I don't own any of these artists publishing as of 2012 and I don't have access to the fine print in their contracts to go into lengthy detail about who is sharing the wealth based on payouts etc, all I have is the access to ASCAP & BMI and ability to see the publishing entities that are listed on songs and albums.

I didn't bring a publishing discussion into an Album discussion thread, I prefer to share music, videos, interviews, vlogs, and Tweets associated with the album "God Forgives I Don't".

Hopefully the parties who wish to indulge in conversation about publishing and royalties can create an alternate thread to discuss these matters while we discuss issues and events surrounding the album.

-------------------------->

No disrespect to the visual directors but Shutah has a style in his Vlogs that I'm just not feeling, it's cheesy to me with the

voice-over narrations and some of the graphics, they should leave the final edits to Dre or Spiff when it comes to the Vlogs for GFID.

Some directors are just better with with music-videos and some are better with movie-style Vlogs, this in my opinion was not a good Vlog for GFID.

I feel like once you heard Mafia Music up to his last album preceding this one you heard them all. This can't fuck with Nas's album on any level even with an old Nas track on it. 3 mics due to unoriginality from Ross (Mafia Music IV (4) says it all). And I need a translator for the end of ten Pieces please.

"my story is complicated, but at the end of the day it is all worth it because im working with "the boss". In Colombia I seen a bunch of things, you understand, dead people, dead people, dead people in the streets, bleeding, 2-3 yrs old seeing these things. I always wanted to come back over here again, so I came and I worked because I had a different mentality, and when I got here I had a different thought to get money and become Rich Forever, God Forgive, but I Dont.

LOL, the easy part was getting the fans to devote their energy to the project but the hard part was getting the G-unit freaks to devote there energy into the project, but somehow we we were able to manipulate the G-unit people into making this thread a monster for Google link backs and the Lurkers follow the most credible post they see... Boss.

That GFID go hard in the whip

Dammit Man ....why wont this fat fuck just let me hate him in peace! ......got damn greasy knuckle nigga just keeps coming with that quality product you cant deny ....hate aside

Firstly this album is sequenced beautifully .....this nigga understands sonic flow ..... he understands how proper placement can allow the listener to fully digest the groove the vibe the feel for the record thats playing ...but additionally the record that played before .... something that average ass non-cohesive life is good shit fell face flat on .... the first seven tracks all fell in line.... tone wise as well as content/message ....

the instrumentation was in pocket ...the lush melodies/strings/horns/baselines brought to the table by the justice league made for smooth easy listen ...the transition from MMIV to 16 was seamless ...i didn't even realize it was a different song until 3Stacks started singing ... i feel he should have taken one of those 3 trap records off ...it was a little OD .... but then the record falls right back in place towards the ends with touch n you and diced pineapples ....and lastly with that ten jesus pieces track ..which was great way to end this joint...

at the end of the day ...even with all his hilarious Mafioso innuendos ... you'd be a fool to deny ross's talent for crafting great music .... not as good as his last joint ...but so far definitely the most enjoyable rap record of the year ..even as much as i hate to say it ...

Overall

8.25 to 8.5

Standouts

- 3 Kings

- Ashamed

- 16

- Amsterdam (If thats really teedra on the track ...he need to stop bullshitin and let ol'girl cook ...she dope)

- Ten Jesus Pieces

I like the andre 3000 song and I like the dese niggas wan hol me back song reminded me of like a q-tip or some ernest hemingway shit.

This was definitely worth one of the blank CD's I found in the basement that it cost me to own it.

Listen to the album....production is goat....but Ross's lyrics are cool at best.....features r dope especially 3000......decent album but far from classic.....think the Good comp or 50 album can beat this out for album of the year....but so far NAS won wit life is good#NoHate
